Help Carphone Warehouse/ T-Mobile Laptop

Hi all,
I purchased a Netbook from Carphone Warehouse approximatley 4 months ago, i got the Netbook for free with a contracted internet (through a dongle) to pay £25 to T-Mobile each month with a fast broadband speed.
The first 2 days of having the laptop everything was fine and then all of a sudden the internet signal just went. It took approx 20 mins just to get on to my home page on the internet. We had not downloaded anything in the time we had had it, we had full protection and we hadn't been on any 'funny' sites that would cause this.
We decided to contact T-Mobile, they said to us that the Ilkely Moor signal mass (we live in Sheffield) was broken and that was why we didn't have signal and it would be fixed within a week. (I don't know anything about technology really so not too sure if this was the truth as our digital TV etc was fine). After 2 weeks it was the same so I called them again, having spoken to a different man at T-Mobile I was then told that the dongle must be faulty and to send it to them to be repaired. I sent this off and after approx 10 days we recieved it back with T-Mobile saying that there is nothing wrong with the dongle and that everything should work fine. So again, I phoned T-Mobile and asked to speak to a manager she informed me that the signal was very low in our area and that Carphone Warehouse should not have sold us the contract without informing us of the low signal in our area which she says they would have known about upon the sale. She kindly explained that unfortunatley there was nothing they could do but that carphone Warehouse should cancel my contract for me due to the lack of infromation passed on the purchase.
I then took the laptop, dongle etc all in original packaging with not even the smallest mark on back to Carphone Warehouse and asked them why they had sold me something which clearly didn't work. They told me that it is not their problem and to go back to T-Mobile.
The main problem now is that i refuse to may the contract as I am not paying for something which i cannot use and T-Mobile are threatening me with Debt Collection Agencies.
What am i to do with this?? Have I got any right to cancel this??
Please help.
Thanks xx

Your contract is with the shop you purchased the item from. They should arrange to canel everything.0

Sounds like you've already made your mind up on what it is you're going to do. Muck about T-Mobile (not a good idea), mess with your credit file (not a good idea), get het up over everything and still end up with something not working (apparently). Are you sure you've just simply changed your mind? You had a few days to do that when you got the contract but it's too late now.
You contract is with the shop and they should fix the problem. You did not get the laptop "free" either. Obviously. That laptop should have a 12 month warranty at least.
Have you tried the dongle on another laptop or PC base? Have you tried the laptop with a different dongle? Have you taken the laptop to another area to try it? Anything else not working on the machine? How good was your connection?0
