Hi, do you have the yorkshire prices. I cannot get on their site to compare?
Hi, got it now. Their prices are the cheapest so far, I am on SP freshstart, still looking round. £120 saving .and fixed. after the latest press release I reckon the advice will be another fix.read their t/c,s no different than others, £60 exit fee seems on par to others, not looking to change mid term. Will be watching this space to see if anyone has gone with them, I may be the first? Pity it,s not on any cashback sites?or are they ?cheers

Dont think they are on any cashback sites as yet, they are on a few of the comparison sites that pay cashback though.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

cheers, will look into it.every little bit helps.
  • If Ovo do intend providing cashback they might be better doing so direct with the customer rather than through a comparison site.

I dont think ANY of the energy companies provide cashback direct to the customer do they?

The cashback when using a comparison site comes from the site, not the energy company (albeit indirectly from the company in the form of commision)

Only this one though I'm not sure how well it compares:

    http://www.southern-electric.co.uk/godirect/default.html

    £40 cashback until 18th October.

    ETA new customers only.

£40 cashback yes but it comes with a £50 cancelation fee and its not fixed or capped, doesnt seem very competitive in my area (had to look further down than the top 10 on energyhelpline)

Just checking this company out again - it seems they don't do an option for prepayment meters for my area. I'd have thought this would be a requirement since it would provide an uneven playing field compared with other companies who I presume are obliged to supply those on prepayment meters.

No company is obliged to supply anyone. The idea of a 'supplier of last resort' disappeared a few years ago (Utilities Act I think).

That said, if there is a supply in the house when you move in you have a supplier - you might just be stuck with them.
