How to secure wireless network

    You need to find the options in the wireless setup where encryption is turned on. It is often a dropdown. Select PSK shared key as was specified earlier in this thread and enter something you will remember for the pass key. Then apply the settings.

    So long as SSID broadcast is turned on your router should show up regardless of whether it is secured or not.

    Im sorry i havent a scooby where to find the options or the wireless set up encrypton,is it somewhere on my laptop or on my router?

    You have to set up wireless up via the router, you then connect to the wireless via your laptop
