I'm not good, been rapid cycling for quite some time now & have recently started on seroquel. Just increased doseage today from 100mg to 200mg.
Eventually, I'll be on 300mg & expect more meds to be added to the mix.0 -
Hey all
Went to the pdoc's today.
They have diagnosed me with Rapid Cycling Bi polar type 2.
Any one else got this form of it?0 -
I have been diagnosed with BP II, no rapid cycling mentioned, but it's certainly what has been happening to me.
I'm on seroquel at the moment, with a view to adding more meds to the mix. However, I'm suffering with headaches & am concerned about the potential weight gain on these tablets. Anyone else experience of seroquel?0 -

Ive heard about the weight gain with depakote but not with Seroquel.. I have only been taking them for 5 days, but im getting hungrier... I have also quit smoking so im sure its to do with that.. I cant imagine these kinds of meds would work that quickly.0 -
They do work quickly especially if you have been started on the right dose. Same with Lithium, it brings me back "together" in about 4-5 day with this bizarre feeling of serenity (after the storm of the manic, or mixed episode), without being sedative which is strange.0

How do people manage their weight?
I'm currently taking Seroquel & am expecting more meds to be added in the next few months. Unfortunatly, I'm over weight & am concerned about further weight gain. I am a full vegeterian.0 -
In regards to weight mine isn't managed well
I've been on seroquel and on olanzapine and both made me gain weight. I really want to come off olanzapine as i can't cope with gaining anymore weight. I even stopped taking my meds but my mood worsened and i went reluctantly back on them. I wouldn't mind if there were diet pills or something they could prescribe taht would counteract it.
