    Tuesday All Done!!

I've not been able to open the hall coat cupboard without an avalanche for a long time. I've just removed all of ex's coats, bags and shoes and I now have room for the hoover to live in there. it will be so much more pleasant accessing the electric key now. Plus I can realistically expect DS to put coat and shoes away. Result....

So just need to fill the car with recycling, ex's stuff and a bag of charity stuff and drop it all off now. It will probably take a couple of trips but I have a very motivated DS for once as he's over excited that his friend is allowed to visit. What an awful mother I am. Mind you it's not helped by all of his friends living in huge houses with indoor pools and holiday homes abroad. We are the poor friends in a council house living off benefits :-

i know where you are coming from we live in a council house too but dont despair our house is a tip...have you seen the photos but the welcome is good!!! i was amazed that my kids friends who livd in posh houses loved coming to ours but it was cos the welcome was good easier said than done at times admittedly but try to keep it clean and even without the porsche and swimming pool it will be good and your kids friends will see through it

if your son enjoys having his mate round he may even enjoy helping you do things like keeping it clean and tidy so he doesnt feel embarrassed...try and make his room good so he can happily invite mates round and into his or a room in the house....at least you know where he is and that he is safe

i still get big pangs when someone new comes in but i am at the moment trying to do a big spruce up on a budget of NIL!!

    Hi,

I can't believe the forums were down:eek::eek::eek:. I was in such shock i couldn't move and have been talking to my Sister on facebook.

In my HHC before it went down i

    Collected laundry
    Wm x 1
    Put washing out
    Put shopping away
    Put dry dishes away
    S 7 S Kitchen
    S & S Bathroom

I'm just going to carry on now with the living room until it's time to leave. I'm going for lunch with my Sisters in a bit.

Yes, it'll take all of us time to adjust to DD living here. Not that she's a problem by any means, just it's a bit sudden. We need vibes that DS and DiL's flat completes v. quick.
soappie I had completely forgotten about DS getting a flat - I remember one fell through but I must have forgotten they were in for another. Oh well DIL will have to do her own housework and ironing then!

    2. Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    3. Clean a window or two.
    4. Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be, or better still give them to their owners to put away themselves
