Toots, ta re carpenter reminder, must, must must look into that this week.
Yup I may have slightly overdone things but I'm resting loads. Its hard to figure out when to stop moving until your legs pack up. I tend to walk either slowly or very, very slowly with my stick.;):D
As I think I'll be using a walking stick for some time, I'm thinking one of these instead of my black number.
Whaddya think?:D
I love it Triker go for it. x:beer: Officially Debt Free Nov 2012 :beer:0 -

toots welcome home
Quillion under floor heating is expensive, I don't think the properties I have been in with it are very warm. Laminate would probably be a bad idea if it's cold, I miss it definately for keeping clean as with a neutral carpet I am wandering round with a cloth all the time, definately consider the grey carpet....we went dark leksvik to gloss black because of my DPs TV obsesssion too, not a 50 as would be too big for the new living room, just a 42" LED which takes over the room! Must confess I like it too even if it's a little, big.
Princess Jane, I wouldn't be paying his debts off either, you are doing more than enough for him advising him properly, just hope he appreciates it. My partner is a taxi driver, has he thought of advertising on Facebook getting people to join a group? I know someone who has and it worked really well, my partner is a driver but chose not to as he's quite lazy with work and doesn't work self employed. Vistaprint do almost free business cards, I get them for my partner and it just costs for the postage usually. Being all cash work, well mainly, I know how easy it is to be spent. We have an arrangement now where my partner gives me a set amount then the rest is his so I don't care if he does overtime, that's his. No the debt wth his friend wouldn't come under the DRO, unsure about the tax debt as I don't think any sort of line can be drawn under debts owed to a government office.
Triker that sounds great, my son LOVES the Deep!
Valli I have done similar Freecycle (well ours is Freegle now) jobs where I have helped elderly members clear other things, one was a trampette thingy which I actually kept
For the first time in agessssss I have listed stuff on eBay2 cars for DP, the parcel shelf out of both old cars, the boot liner from mine and the shockers for the caravan. All fairly high postage items so unsure if they will sell ok.
DP was in a right strop about the house when I got back, I think he was in a general strop, anyway he made a start doing a few things and as per usual I ended up doing way more than him for longer so tonight I did the following
Sorted through 5 boxes of stuff
Reorganised the kitchen cupboards to fit a medicines drawer and shelf in (we have a lot of pills/medicines we need)
Filled the new filing cabinet with bills/general household admin
Filled the file box I also got with certificates, important letters to keep, my support group/steering group/voluntary work admin
Done 3 washer loads (all on hold now as he's not fixed my TD!!! I've been asking for days!)
Fed everyone
Bathed the boys
Just need to sort uniforms out then off to bed I think for me, he is taking his Dad to the airport at 7am, so another day in a grotty mood. One day I might be more organised...........

AJ wow, can't believe you were on the Marina, what brings you to our neck of the woods.:D I didn't go down there today, my legs stopped working and I couldn't walk far so stayed on the car park, but I was there on saturday. x
We were providing some of the entertainment on the marina. We had to wait for the red arrows to stop before we could start and then we were featured on tv briefly when the big yacht left. We had a good weekend down there with a great atmosphere but it was good to get back home last night.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
