Good idea... I'm sure you'll find something. Mind you, that'll be your excuse for not contributing to the furnishing of the flat gone! Given that they've been living with you all this time, I'm sure that you've made more than a fair contribution to their living costs already.

And I can't find which form it was I need to fill in for the tax man. I'm sure I had a note of it somewhere... it's the one where you just tell them what's changed and claim for pension contributions, mileage, charity donations etc... if anyone knows I'd be grateful for details of what to get and where to find it!

Toots, ta re carpenter reminder, must, must must look into that this week.

Yup I may have slightly overdone things but I'm resting loads. Its hard to figure out when to stop moving until your legs pack up. I tend to walk either slowly or very, very slowly with my stick.;):D

As I think I'll be using a walking stick for some time, I'm thinking one of these instead of my black number.

Soappie - don't feel bad they have lived with you, sat on your furniture and walked on your carpets for a long time - you have been great!

DH is booking flights for us - I'm trying to explain that 4:30 is a time which only occurs once in 24 hours for me and that is in the afternoon!

Yes I can justify it to MYSELF in that the rent I've charged them all these years hasn't actually covered the running costs of having them here... and I refuse to fall into the game of oneupmanship....
