You should always try to charge your phones/batteries when they are powered off so that it can be charged fully/properly!!! Your phone is using power whilst it's on so a full charge cannot be done properly until your phone is turned off like you have noticed! It's like filling up a bucket with water...but there is a hole in the bucket and the bucket won't fill up properly!! You would have to fix the hole before the water stays in the bucket and fills up to the brim.

Sorry just thought I'd say while the analogy is good, your interpretation isn't!

If there is a hole in the bucket (dear liza?) then as long as the hole is not letting water through at a rate greater than water is being put into the bucket, then of course it will still fill up to the brim - it'll just take a little longer!

It's when the hole is bigger than the rate you can let water into it at that you have problems.

I feel that these sony ericsson things are always dodgy becuase of the type of connection.

i totally agree my son is having problems with his for his k750i they are so delicate the pins etc.... i think they probably make them kind of chargers on purpose to easily break then have to buy another unlike the nokia chargers which i seem to have loads of that have been unused (we just use the one charger for all the nokias in the house)
