Good morning Paparika.
Sorry you didn't sleep - there is nothing worse than feeling tired, but just lying there unable to actually drop off, is there?"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
My wheelchair came through occupational health too bigzippy. As much as I agree with trying to keep mobile, sometimes you just can't and need extra help with getting around.
My wheelchair (AKA The WolfMobile:D) means we can go into town for a couple of hours, rather than me having to beg to go back to the car after just 10 minutes.
That said, I didn't try running the gauntlet of Social Services et al, I nipped into MK Mobility shop in Newport Pagnell and bought me own.monring all, just got up...didn't sleep till 3 *sigh i just felt so restlessIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
yeah i know what you mean lw, but it was just me n the pup last night, OH can't stay over too often as its not allowed, and i wouldn't want to loose money because of it so..its almost like having to have a part time relationship.
i just had restless legs last night, over tired and the dog kicking me to get more space, its a double bed i always end up clinging onto the edge,,
but both the dog and me restless, ah well, i got to try not to have an afternoon nap if i can help it so that i can get a good nights sleepLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
On the subject of sleep, there was an article in yesterdays Daily Telegraph, apparently some scientists have come up with the idea that you get better quality sleep if you don't share a bed.
Given that Mr LW can snore for England, they may have a point.:D Don't think it'd help me though - I slept alone for years, and still had a lousy sleep pattern.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
rubbish
with or without another person in bed, i've had a really bad sleep pattern for a good three years or more.Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
Yeah, Mr LW and I were sceptical. It amazes me some of the weird theories that surface - sometimes they say one thing one day, and the following week, there's another theory that directly contradicts the first. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I went and got all the consultants letters from my doctor this afternoon. It's made interesting reading.
In 2000 I saw a podiatrist about persistant foot pain, and he apparently found deformities in my bones and flat feet. He then wrote back to my doctor and asked for a series of "dorsal anterior weight bearing" x-rays, to figure out the extent of the problems. I never had these and had no idea they had been requested. Again, a few years later a consultant at the pain clinic requested that I try other forms of neuromodulatory medication. Again, this didn't happen!
It makes me wonder if my feet troubles had been sorted out in 2000 (when I was around 13 years old) whether all my pain troubles wouldn't have started. I'm furious with my GP, who I have always liked and trusted. Now it seems she has let me down.
Another point of interest is that the Rheumatologist I saw last week diagnosed me with Hypermobility Syndrome. The Rheumatologist I saw in 2005 said that while I had hypermobile knees, I only had an overall score of 2/9, meaning I didn't have the syndrome. (Why didn't he tell me I had hypermobile knees?)
In 2008 I saw a Rheumatologist who gave me a score of 0/9, and said I wasn't hypermobile at all.
So apparently I had it, but not much in 2005, then it vanished in 2008, now in 2009 I have the actual syndrome!! I don't know what score he has given me though.
I just want to cry. According to these letters, I've been in pain since 1998, and no one has helped me."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
