    Well hello :hello::hello:,
I wondered where you'd all gone .I haven't been on for a few days and you go off and leave me and I thought you where my friends ,hehehehehehe.

Well I am no further ahead with my work problem( sorry to newbies but it is on the last thread)Today I have received a letter detailing what was said in the meeting, I had nearly 2 weeks ago and they are making things up on it:confused::confused:

I did ring dialuk as was kindly suggested but as yet nobody has got back to me.I really don't know what to do and the stress is making me bad .I can feel myself spiralling at the moment and couldn't move this morning for pain.At this moment I don't want to go back in for the rest of my notice but I think this would go against me if I did take issue with them.As it is my next shift is all day saturday and I just know I won't be able to move on sunday.I just feel like crying now and this has now put back all the good work the councillor had done over the last few weeks.

Take care all,I'm hopeless with names but nice to see some new faces.

I've wondered about this perching stool business (I have no aids btw...I ask about help and [STRIKE]always[/STRIKE] tend to get turned down on the basis of my age (I'm "only 27")...very frustrating. Anyway, mil2b has got one but won't use it (quel suprise) as she says it takes up too much room in her (galley style) kitchen and she's worried about tripping over it or something (she's 3/4 blind too). If/when she completely abandons it I might think about pinching it and seeing if it's any cop for me... I do/did like cooking/baking but since I got ill/started trying to "manage my condition" I've barely done any

    I'm only 37 bigzippy.

I can imagine how frustrating it is for you. Perhaps you should ask for another assessment, you might get someone different.

I can see why your mil2b is worried about tripping over, as the legs do stick out a bit, rather than go straight down IYSWIM. It's worth giving it a try, because you can also buy them, and if it helps you enjoy your baking ect, then is worth it.

We do the takeaways when I can't get in the kitchen. My dear mum also cooks foods to go in the freezer, for a ready meal if I can't cook, but I'm trying to get back to OS ways and have managed a few meals from scratch lately. DDs had rack of ribs tonight though - very easy. I didn't fancy anything so have done the usual going without, staring at the cupboard stock, munching on biscuits routine :D

Pipkin, your story really took me back to something I had totally forgotten about . Before I was dxd and whilst I was at uni I had a favourite pair of sensible boots - looked a bit like hiking boots or those made by Timberland (can't remember who did make them but it was about 15 years ago). Anyway I don't have any feeling in the heel on my left foot and one night after being in the bath, I noticed what I thought at first was a small round red freckle.

It turned out it was a hole! I'd only been walking around on a nail, sticking up through the footbed of the boot. I thought it'd been moths attacking my socks:rotfl:.

I still have bother with the same heel and last week I bought a Rio heel smoother. It's battery operated and has two attachments with bits of crystal embedded in and these smooth away hard skin. It is absolutely great :T as I could sit all day with a Ped egg and not get the results I get in a couple of minutes with this .

You're lucky you didn't end up with an infection Unity

My mum told me about those ped egg things the other day and said they were good. I've not heard about the Rio heel smoother before though.

    Hi hasslei pm'd you too

perrythepup would like to be your friend too...

well when DS came home it was a quick trip to the council office, fortunately it is at the end of the road, to hand in my buss pass application, and i killed 2 birds with one stone :D well not literally,

i knew i had to fill in a green medical form for rehousing so i asked them to help me there and then doing it, so that it would save a week at least in sending it, filling it out and sending it back.

and for being a bright spark, i fell asleep for a few hours when i got back that'll teach me

Perching Stools - I had one of these but gave it back as it was too heavy for me to move it about the kitchen and I also used to trip over the legs.

Keep a look out in Aldi as I got a great one from there! The seat folds up towards the backrest so it lives next to my fridge freezer and is so lightweight that it can be got out as soon as I need it.

Pipkin - Here's the link to the heel smoother: -

Hmmm maybe, but tbh, I'm not holding my breath. I'm more concerned about getting a wheelchair, which I've been knocked back for as "young ones should try to stay mobile" I don't have the energy for another rollercoaster trying to get something else...

I didn't think about the infection thing! Good point!!
We've got a ped egg and we think it's good...but I think I need to get DF one of those Rio things as his feet are TERRIBLE. I (affectionately;)) say he has troll feet!:p

My wheelchair came through occupational health too bigzippy. As much as I agree with trying to keep mobile, sometimes you just can't and need extra help with getting around.

I asked through my GP and was given a form to fill in that then went through to the Wheelchair Service...who duly turned me down. Apparently (sore point) the GP didn't really support my application for one either. I *may*'ve had a barny with him about that...

(Just writing about it is making me mad again!)
