I didn't do it for months as I thought it was too good to be true. However, I took the plunge 18 months ago and have made £1500. I don't do it very often and do it a bit in fits and starts (I've also changed jobs and started a business since I've been doing it so what with that and the 2 kids under 5 I've been somewhat busy!).

However, it is a very enjoyable hobby. I only view it as a hobby which pays me - and I use the money for nice things (going out for meals, nights away, treating the family etc.). I was rubbish at maths at school and I really didn't think I'd take to MB. My advice is to work through 'live' examples WITHOUT PUTTING ANY MONEY AT RISK to start with. The advice on the board is to then post your possible in the questions thread - someone will always check that your assumptions are correct. Once I'd done this a few times (and waited for the result of the footie match so I knew what had happened), I invested £75 (which was an unexpected refund) so if I lost I wouldn't feel too bad. As I say, it's all gone very well and I could've made a lot more if I'd put more effort into it.
