I HATE people who say one thing but mean another, then get annoyed when their hidden 'actual' meaning is not worked out by the recipient of their question/phrase.

Fanny, I'm sorry to tell you that a few people really do seem to need to be like this! I don't know why but they get a kick out of sarcasm and snidey remarks. I can do sarcasm as well - but I do try to avoid it online as, without eye contact and body language, its so easy to upset people when all you really mean is to inject a bit of light relief.

Try not to let it upset you.
