Indeed, and I don't necessarily work on "what ifs" because its pointless.
My point was, there are speed restrictions in roadworks for a reason, that reason being that the lanes are usually narrower and there are people working in close proximity to the traffic.
If the OP chose to break the speed limit / just wasn't paying attention enough to know the speed limit (no doubt as he zoomed past all of the other cars who were doing under the speed limit) then he deserves to get banned from driving.
If the Op had made a mistake and been caught once I could say fair enough, mistakes happen (and i'm not whiter than white, I once got done for speeding in similar circumstances) but to have it happen three or more times....?0
