Yesterday on my way home from work I was traveling down a 10 mile stretch of bypass (70mph limit), as I approached one of the flyover bridges I noticed a police car parked on the bridge - I assume traffic as it was a marked volvo estate, at the time i was doing just over 80mph
.
Would they of come after me at the time? or would they be using a speed camera which would mean I have to wait a few days to find out my fate?

May have been eating his sandwiches or may have been waiting to take a picture of anyone just like you, you will find out if anything drops through your letterbox.
Expect to be deported to Australia in six months time.:D0 -
Hi, if he didn't follow your car you will be ok, anyway they usually let you off under 79 on motorways so taking into account speedo tolerances 80 would probably be 77.0

If it is a marked Volvo estate it is a traffic car. I don't think you have anything to worry about seeing as he didn't pull you. One word of advice. On the A483 and all around the Wrexham area there are a number of unmarked Skoda Octavia estates. You may have been lucky this time.0

Police don't usually bother unless your doing 85+ or so, you're probably fine.0

North Wales though.
Saying that I believe whats his face (the one known as The mad Mullah of the North Wales Traffic Taliban) Richard Brunstrom(?) has now retired.
I doubt a traffic car is sitting there with a speed gun tbh, they usually use vans because they need a picture.0 -

It's pretty much wait and see. But you have to be served with Notice of Intended Prosecution within 14 days of the alleged offence.:T:T:T

They have to post it within 14 days, not as said that you have to receive it in that time frame, so effectively don't heave that sigh of relief for 18 days,I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Meanwhile, on the traffic cop theme - rumours have it that the Police Antiseptics have been disbanded at Laindon. I used to love that programme.... mainly because alot of it was local and I liked the fast cars.Genie
