Thank you not-loaded, That made me smile! I need to remember my sense of humour in all this stress, I might just do that!;)0 -
Just a quick update, the F&F list has now come, and it looks like they are taking all the light fittings now as well!
They want paying extra to leave all the integrated kitchen appliances....and the fitted fire!!! (all mentioned in the EA borchure)
If they take the fire place then the carpet will be no good as it is fitted around the harth!
They are also taking up the vinyl flooring in the kitchen (not even giving us the option to buy that:rotfl:).
This is really starting to give me a bad taste in my mouth about the whole thing, I was really looking forward to moving, but now Im going off the whole idea.- Include all the things you had a reasonable expectation of, from the property details
- Reduce for the cost of things removed and consequentials, such as the now valueless carpet
- You walk away
I have to say, you need to get your way on one of these [including walking away] otherwise they will trample you into the ground.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Did you mean trample you into the carpet or vinyl?
Sorry lindos but you did say in your last post:DA retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0 -
The way it’s going there’ll only be the ground left when they’ve moved out.
In selling, my wife and I are being very careful to give correct information to our viewers. They may end up buying and we won’t deceive. Our EA details are correct in the sense that they reflect the way we think it will go, eg: we will leave certain items including the large fridge-freezer at no cost.
If they say they don’t want it, we’re going to get that in writing at exchange.
Our F&F list is done and dusted but not sent off to the solicitor. By this means we can ensure the new buyer gets exactly what they’re expecting, and have seen on the viewings. We are also aware that some buyers will cheat, saying ‘throw it away’ and when they proceed they demand a new fridge-freezer as there’s no proof what was said.0 -
I'd just say bye, not buying anymore. Found a house that has carpets and lights and everyfink, don't need yours!
Just had my F+F list, and they're taking 2 lightshades and 3 sets of curtains. They're leaving me a bed, sofa, desk, two units in the front room and a cooker. I'm buying the fridge off them though0 -

This is a very very good response - if I were you I'd go down this route.
I've recently completed, my F + F wasn't as detailed as in hindsight I now know it should have been but to be honest I wasn't expecting the strange things I found when I got the keys, some of which (for your amusement) were:
- Curtains were left as agreed, but the electric heater which we agreed was staying disappeared.
- We wanted the small bathroom cabinet to remain (some of you may have seen my post about it a month or so ago). I hadn't particularly fallen in love with the cabinet, I just didn't want to have to sort out the mess left once it was unscrewed. They flatly refused and insisted they take it with them.... I then found it in a cupboard in the garage
- ALL of the scratchplates and the hooks (the type you'd hang your bathrobe on) from the doors have been removed, except one which is in a shelved cupboard and therefore it wouldn't be possible to hang anything on.... and oh yeah.... it's upside down! :T
The kitchen sink plug is gone! and it's not just a rubber plug either, it's one of those silver strainer ones so I've had to have the whole fitting replaced as they're not a universal size.
Garden - some plants removed, other new ones have been put in.... it's a tiny garden (well the 'garden' part is as it's mainly tiled and decked). None of the plants were mentioned on the F+F list so I've got no idea what this was all about....
Recycling bin's gone but a few cleaning supplies have stayed, does that balance each other out?
I think they've taken the fire surround and put another one in it's place.
It's all little things which I'm not going to worry about going to court or anything for, I'm just glad to be finally in.0 -

I have upside down hooks on the underneath of a shelf in my kitchen, which I use to hang tea cloths and mugs on!
Oh and BTW when we move (soon i hope) I will leave then for our buyer, but it wasn't mentioned on the F+F so i'm not sure what she is expecting!!0 -

ooooh you now have a lovely garden full of japanese bindweed, ground elder and pernicious weeds......:eek:0 -
;)Just remembered our vendor took *one* - yes just one - of the washing line posts..... and they *insisted* on leaving their kids cartoony curtains even though we emphasised it *REALLY* wasn't necessary.... made great dust sheets though0
