Do You Make Your Bed Every Morning?
Comments
-
Don't know about all the others, mine (thread) was due to a comment made about my 'unmade' bed spurred on by the fact that I'm getting ready for my "Autumn" clean
.
Do an Autumn clean (before house gets 'closed-up' for the winter) and a "Spring" clean (for after the place has been 'cosy' all winter/early spring). May be one for another thread tho . . . :rotfl:
Same here, although my autumn clean is usually spurred on by the fact that the kids have been home for 6 weeks making a mess and now they are back at school I can actually get the house back in order!0 -

I don't want to hijack the OP's post on page 1 but... I do an autumn clean after all the spiders have gone and goodbye to their cobwebs for another year :jfitzroy0 -
I throw the duvet around the bed when I get up. Does this count as airing the bed? I've never made my bed and don't think I'm about to start. I have better things to do0

Why do people who are less fastidious about housework use to old "I've got an exciting life excuse".
Is it presumed that people who are contentious about their home are automatically boring?
You can lead an interesting life & be clean & tidy too you know:rolleyes:0 -
Ooo envy, lol! Bed sounds gorgeous, much like what I had prior to my new improved 'fold down' technique
Thank you:D
Everything in the room is cream or white & I wanted to make the bed dressings a bit luxurious, so I got the inspiration from a box of luxury chocolates, you know when you get them in a plush raspberry red box, with rich chocolates inside, tied with a gold organza bow:D0 -

I have got an exciting life, I can't help if my exciting life doesn't happen to include making the bed, can I? :rotfl:
Anyways, you mis read my post. I said I have BETTER things to do. I don't happen to think it's my top priority. I'm very pleased you take pride in making your bed but I don't. I'd rather spend 10 minutes making bread to eat than making the bed.
What's the point anyways, you just get back into it and mess it up again. :cool:0 -
I tend to air the bed, by folding down duvet and layering pillows so they are not completely on top of each other. It still looks tidy though
. Other days I just make it and other days I take all sheets off and air it before putting clean sheets on.

I always shake and turn down the duvet to air the bed, always have, always will
Windows are opened all day too, I hate a stuffy house:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -

I fail to see how it could take ten minutes to make a bed! Even for the most fastidious! (Unless being made from scratch)
I fluff my 2 Northern lights pillows, put my memory foam pillow on top in a certain way, straighten out duvet. Job done. 40 seconds?
Then again, i hardly seem to move the duvet most nights in my sleep. I am a very light sleeper and wake frequently, but some nights you can barely tell I have been there? I digress anyway
:rolleyes:A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
