House prices will continue to fall for the next few years.

HPI is not coming to your rescue debt junkies.

Beware the bull trap and remember that debt is not wealth.

All just VI nonsense Julie. Save your fingernails.
I am 'man enough' to apologise for this post julieq. It was an unfair remark, which gave me brief pleasure at the time I wrote it, but was unwarranted. I just couldn't be bothered to read your post and reply properly.. as you correctly surmised.

I don't like ganging up by either side - certainly don't mind having a go myself, but one on one, not ten on one. You probably wont recall, but I did once stick up for you, a while back.

So. Sorry for the unfair remark. And I hope we can go back to more normal sparring.

    That's very honourable and gentlemanly.

But do remember the lady is not on her own.

The noble Hamish is riding at her side, waiting to rescue her from tall towers and other people with different opinions  etc.

And there was me thinking she was just full of !!!!!!

Her posts are really well written and make some excellent points in my opinion.

I sometimes wonder whether some users of this website lack the modesty and / or intelligence to identify well-written posts that they can appreciate yet completely disgree with. I don't often agree with anything dopester or amcluesent post, but they post in an intelligent thoughtful way, so I would say that they are great posters.

I'm quite capable of making up my own mind about the quality of posts thank you.

The "well-writtenness" of her posts is just a smokescreen for the flawed arguments they contain.

Her posts are anything but well written Cleaver. Ignore the content, concentrate on the language and come back and disagree with me if you can. Using five words where one would do is misusing the language, not using it. Throwing in the odd latin phrase doesn't make it any more palatable.
I have read some bliddy great posts on here, posts where they have made the words sing and I have sat and hummed along with the tune in pleasure.
Quite a few of them have been yours. None of them have ever been JulieQs'. Her posts just me make itch to pick up a red pen.

    3. While it is true people can work from remote office locations due to the advancement of technology, I don't believe this will equalise property across the UK. Simply put, some people prefer to stay in say London where there is much more options outside work than in a rural area such as the Lake district. I doubt that like for like, properties would equalise out in these areas.

Additionally, by equalisation, do you believe this would infer that the higher priced areas would drop to the UK average and the lower priced areas would increase?

Not everyone loves London. Many people really hate it - me included. I would happily give up 25% of my pay if I could work say 4 days from home - and technology does allow it - there is just an attitude problem from management. If I could totally work from home I would be prepared to accept a cut of 50% to 75% of my salary - and I would relocate to a place that would offer me a much better quality of life despite the pay reduction.

In the UK there is not much scope for equalization as the North is overvalued as it is given the awful quality of life it offers. But there is a great scope for international equalisation. That would, of cause, push UK house prices well down.

Also the 50% tax on bankers might result even in offices shifting to friendlier countries.

Think you're confusing style and substance, dear. julie has plenty of the former, but none of the latter.
