First Direct cash ISA - banking fee?

Indeed
I do hope they are quick, but hey I do not expect it to be soon, as once I send off this first form and then get the ISA Transfer pack and send that off, could be a fair old wait.
I was going to include a Cheque for this years £3,600 with the initial form, but that may slow it all down so will just not bother and try to get the actual transfer done before I star putting cash in, seems the quick way. As you say the ISA to ISA transfer will be a bit more than £1 needed to open an account
Thanks for looking everyone and helping.0 -
got my forms to sign yesterday in the post, so posted them back first thing this morning, does any one know roughly how long it takes for them to give you the account number/sort code etc so i can pay into the account?? Here is a question for people, it asks on my ISA TRANSFER AUTHORITY FORM the address of existing ISA Manager.
I am with Abbey, but how do you know which address to put down? as they have registered offices in Scotland, company registered in London, and then the bank I acctually opened my account with in Durham. I may have to phone and see, but may as well ask firstgot my forms to sign yesterday in the post, so posted them back first thing this morning, does any one know roughly how long it takes for them to give you the account number/sort code etc so i can pay into the account?? I just got my confirmation letter (5 days from posting 1st pack off) and it says they also sent Banking ID's seperatly (which hopefully turn up early this week), you need both to then phone up and accitivate your account which seems like it will be an instant thing.0 -

You are very welcome
hopefully you get yours in a similar timeframe, or quicker.
I just hope the postal service is not on strike again this week in certain areas, as I want it all sorted quickly0 -

Again I will not set up a new thread, as I guess this is related
I now have the First Direct online ISA and I got my interest today (nice to see it go in monthly).
But how do I pay in more cash?
I have £3600 which I can still put in this year, I have tried transfering cash in online and it says I have nothing "set up" to do that, and cannot find anyway online to set anything up. So I ordered a paying in Book online, 2 weeks ago and so far nothing delivered.
So am I missing something? do I need a standard FirstDirect bank account to be able to pay in cash? as the £3600 is burning a hole in my pocket, may even have to resort to phoning them, as they were very nice when I set up my details on the phone :T best customer service I have had in years.0 -
