Dialaphone + instant cashback

Hi Folks

Just wondering if someone could put my mind at ease.

I've ordered a phone from dialaphone, a nokia 5800 on 24 month contract with £200 cashback. Since ordering the phone however, I've read mostly bad things about dialaphone and was just wondering whether anyone had actually received their cashback? When I log in to see how the order has progressed, there is no mention of it, and the customer service line is pretty useless.

Any help would be thoroughly appreciated.

orderd a tocco light on a o2 24 month contract with £200 auto cash back @ end of july and recieved my cheque this week (they seem to post it on the day you are supposed to recieve it).

I purchased a N95 8GB from Dial-a-phone. And i have received all my cash back though they were the manual redemption ones, however I will do one warning here in that my contract stated unlimited internet (no usage caps) so getting a £300 bill in my 2nd month from vodafone was not pleasant + threat of termination fee of £550.

Until trading standards took over the issue, contact with anyone outside telephone sales was none existent. It was finally resolved with dial-a-phone paying out all charges and now updating there website on all internet contracts to state the limits and terms of the mobile internet included.

But cashback wise it has been ok, and they are part of phones4u group, although phones4u can not help as they run a separate entities on different systems.

You sure can. I use Topcashback, more reliable and top-ups - no annual fee either. It all makes sense.

I had used DAP on several occassions starting from 2004, needless to say all were cashback deals. And their cashback department is absolutely fast and easy to deal with. I never had even one cashback being rejected. Normally if i send my cashback claim on monday same week saturday i receive the cheque.
All my automatic cashbacks were paid on time. The good thing is that you can track hte progress of things under my account section of the website once you login.
if your cashback does not show up on yoru my accounts section, i would advise you to get in touch wtih their CS department. you can contact them on cs@dialaphone.com

The 5800 is £150 one off charge on pay as you go. Have you calculated how much cost of ownership will be for 2 years against this?

no but i'm sure you could unlock it with the network if you want to for <£20.

i signed up and my deal was 100 auto cashback... there was no mention of this on the account screens when i logged in to check on progress... i was worried like the initial poster... but it has arrived one month after starting the contract
