CK, have you taken a Miele apart recently?
.
It is notable though that the 10 year warranty is only offered on the more expensive models.
K.
this is my main concern - if they were as good surely the cheap one would be guarenteed for 10 years also??
ho humPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

If Miele put 10 year guarantees on the basic machines it would increase their entry price point into the washing machine market and with all manufacturers you try and make the basic model cost as little as possible to atract the consumer.
Don't forget though that Miele do actually guarantee the 'wash cradle system' for 10 years regardless of machine as they have done for as long as I can remember. This covers the springs that hold the drum assembly, the drum it self, the shock absorbers and the bearings.
The thing is whether you buy an ISE or a Miele it doesn't really make a huge difference, you will be getting a machine that is basically made to last as long as possible. Not like virtually every other brand built to a price with little regard to life expectancy.0 -

I guess the quality of the machines are as good but the cost to maintain outside of warranty are where the ise comes into its own.
Parts makeup is cheapers, if something goes wrong with MIele they will have to get engineer in to reset. If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -

That's a contradiction to most people.
You can have good, you can have cheap... it is very rare, if ever, you manage both.
It really depends on the use you have for the machine what the best for you is. As in how much use you give it and what you generally wash.

I have a Hoover washer dryer. Frankly the dryer option is rubbish. And I always remember my dad saying only buy an appliance that does one thing properly. Didn't listen to him though did I. Anyway, although I am probably jinxing it now it is 7 years old and no problems so far.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
