The interest on £13 is negliable in the scheme of things.
Even at 15% APR it is £1.95 a year, or less than 20p a month.

If you read the T&Cs for the card, you should find that annual account charges are higher up the pecking order than balance transfers so will get paid off in preference to the outstanding BT.

    Oh Dear,
I have sent off my tear-off slip yesterday after writing on the top "@0% for lifetime of balance" and clearing my current balance on my Amex Blue card.
I do hope that they don't do the transfer and then change their mind and say it's only for 6 months.
Surely they must honour an unsolicited offer through the post?

I spoke to Amex. It wa a mistake - they wont give us free money for ever!

The offer is 6 mnths 0% (12.9% after) but if you complain they will waive fees (2% of transfer or max £40). Postal applications will not be processed so call and do it over the phone.

Bcause they reserve right to decline any transfer it covers them. Of course all BT's are still subject to approval. They were very sorry for the error. Hope this helps.

Overall if they do make a mistake they do sem keen to resolve.

    Happy balance transfering.

This can't be right surely, the letter is absolutely crystal clear and there's a world of difference between 6 months and Life, so it's not some random typo.

If they don't honour it then frankly they don't deserve customers....

    I agree with RoyT.

I hate getting unsolicited mail enticing me to borrow money. If I want to borrow money, I shop around and choose the right deal for me.

If I make a mistake they don't seem so keen to waive interest and charges. I once paid 1p too little to clear my card and was charged interest on the whole amount.

If AMEX offered me 0% and then failed to honour the offer I would cancel my card. Post not arrived yet.

    :)

Amex Blue charges £15 if you do not spend £500 per year.
