Noisy Neighbours

What does construction noise have to do with noisy neighbours? If neighbours are playing deafening music/dogs barking/shouting/swearing then there is no set time of day or night when any of it is acceptable by law.0

Thanks guys for all the advice will try some of them especially if they start having 'special moments' although they were quite funny at the time.
Thanks Clutton, I was afraid we were kind of stuck unless the LL was nice and we came to some arrangement.
When talking to the neighbours is it best just to go and tap on their door and let them know or write a polite note.0 -

Some good advice here although you have learnt the hard way, like I did, the 1st golden rule of renting... always rent top floor. :money:
As to how to approach them, I have always put a note through the door. If they are considerate neighbours they will act on it.0 -

Construction noise can have everything to do with noisy neighbours but that's another discussion. You asked where jaffacakes "plucked" 11pm from. I made two suggestions, I didn't suggest 11pm was the law in cases of neighbour noise.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

In a nutshell there doesn't appear to be any sound insulation between our flat and the one above, as I write this I can hear our neighbours conversation and its not even loud!!...

Hi ROZ
I totally sympathise, I am only 3 months in to a 12 month tenancy and already can't wait to move due to the neighbours - they are noisy at the weekends, but even when they're not being particularly loud I can hear conversations etc (which means they can probably hear me to). I have looked into it and have no way out, so just counting down the days... it really is awful when you don't really want to go home because it doesn't feel like a home, but more like a punishment! One Debt vs 100 Days Challenge - £2000.00COMPLETED :j0
