23. And my ex was 23 (17 years ago). He had a graduate job on £12,000 and I was temping part time while doing a post grad, so I earned very little. We managed to get a 100% mortgage of £76,000!!!!!!Forever I will sail towards the horizon with you0

Me 26, OH 31. Had saved more then 40% for the deposit between us and barely ate for some years to achieve this!. This was 1984.....but still tough for us youngsters getting on the property ladder. Slept on a double size lilo after we moved in for over a year, before a proper bed could be bought!

Currently buying my first property at 28 with an 75% mortgage. Very lucky to have had help; would be at least another 10 years without.0
