Most effective way to clean a toothbrush?

I put mine in the dishwasher (along with the washing up).

Is there better way to clean a toothbrush?

  • Put your teeth in the dishwasher.

Then you wont need a brush at all.:D

I use those tablets you get for soaking dentures (I do have all my own teeth!!) then rinse really well. Used to use it for the brush on my electric toothbrush, but since that's now stopped working I use them on my 'normal' one.
  • Blimey, I just rinse mine under the tap. Some people are obviously a lot cleaner than me :o

    I'm a skank like thrifty.

  • Soak it in vinegar. Dipping your toothbrush in vinegar not only will fight bacteria on your toothbrush and in your mouth, but will help to whiten your teeth.

I agree! How often are people doing this cleaning malarkey?
  • I must admit I never do.

I decided to keep a glass of milton in the bathroom for my toothbrush because I read in a magazine that when you flush the loo the germs can be spread about 6 foot in the air and land on surfaces and toothbrushes:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I've never cleaned mine in my life, apart from running it under the tap.
