I bought a Bad Taste Bear figure from a car boot for 20p and sold it for £190 on Ebay. I paid £1.50 for a book and sold that for £103. Don't always know what I am doing, but isn't that the best thing about Ebay !!

ive bought hundreds of pounds worth of items from chaity shops including antiques to make a profit on ebay which i made quite a lot on playboy items. I use to do a sweep of the local shops and even got to know them. most were quite happy for me to do this and kept certian things aside they knew id be looking for. They were more than happy for me to buy to sell as i put a hell of a lot of buisness thier way.Converted comper to MSE. Thank you for all your answers!0

We had 2 of those improve your mind books on for sale both by the same author. 2 Newbies got into a bidding war and the price for the 2 came to £40! Checked on Amazon, 2 new ones together were on special offer for £12 so I second chanced the number 2 bidder. He bought them. Ordered from Amazon on the 24 hr delivery and posted them to him. He was delighted! My broad mind and narrow waist are slowly swapping places!!0

I have nothing to report as good as that I am afraid.
I would like to add my take on the Red Nose discussion. I personally believe that so long as I have paid for an item it is then mine to do with as I choose. I notice jr666 that you also sell items on Ebay, some of which you have bought at an asking price and then resold. I dont suppose that any cash you made on those items you then gave back to the manufacturer or shop from which you purchased them?
I have some pudsey enamel badges from my collection that I no longer need to keep and I have a clear conscience in selling them. The charity got my cash up front.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -

I sold 5 packets of crisps for £26.00, mind you they were out of date by 3 years. The fact they had the Spice Girls on them may have influenced the sale price. A nice little profit. Then I got £16.00 for 5 empy packs. Thanks very much Sporty, Ginger, Baby, Posh and the other one0

We bought a house which had a sauna built in...no blooming use to us whatsoever.
Put it on eBay and got £600 for it......we also sold the old wood burning stove which was in the house..( wife wanted a new gas fire ) and got around £400 for that......
BTW...I think it's perfectly acceptable to re-sell an old red nose . How the heck does it mean anyone starves......??? It was bought when new..and the cash went to Red Nose Day.....so what someone does with it months or even years later doesn't impact on the charity at all.....
mikeif i had known then what i know now0 -
think my best sale was buying a china ornament from ebay for £12 - it was described poorly but i immediately recognised it
kept it for 2 years enjoying owning it and then decided to sell in a decluttering frenzy
relisted on ebay with better photos and description
got over £200 for it
also sold a similar ornament that i had bought for £20 from a local auction that also went for over £200 after 2 years of ownership
wish i was still local to that auction house as they had some stupid bargainsSee the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0
