What Is The Best Thing You Have Ever Sold On Ebay?

Nice finds people - especially black-saturn! I recently sold a nice leather bag which I'd bought at a jumble sale for 20p and used a few times, for £42.20.
The lady at my local Red Cross shop is quite well aware that I sometimes sell things I buy from the shop on eBay, and she's quite happy that I buy them, whether for myself or to sell on. As far as she's concerned, the shop still gets the money I pay for goods, so everyone's happy, and niche market items might not otherwise have sold in the charity shop at all. There is currently a booming trade in charity wristbands, and I've never heard any representatives of the charities which issued them complaining.
If I bought something like an unrecognised valuable antique from a charity for peanuts and sold it for a fortune, I'd make a donation to the charity, but I would certainly have no qulams about selling a £1 item for £7 and keeping my profit. I'd probably spend some of it in charity shops anyway.0 -
Lego train set - bought for £15, sold for £150. That was a happy day. *sigh*:wall:0

likewise. He aired his dirty laundry first. It's just the sort of money grabing attitude i'd expect on this board
Well we are supposed to be money savers;)
I'm with the OP on this one. He bought it via the correct channels, it was his property to do what he wanted with. He sold it on to someone who wanted it. Maybe the buyer is a collector of these things.
I have bought loads of stuff to resell from charity shops, car boots etc. So long as the charity/seller gets whats due to them I don't see a problem. One success was a £5 printer that I bought a new ribbon for then sold for £35. The printer was being sold on behalf of a local school to raise money. I did a similar thing with an electronic typewriter from the same source.
No doubt I'll burn in hell with Rudolf the "Red Nose Swindler" and the other parasites on this site
At least I'll save on the heating bills!
Ok back to e bay.....
I sold my old van that I was going to scrap, for £295. The differential had gone on it and I described it as spares or repair.
I sold my dad's old camera that he had had since I could remember for £44. It was a 35mm Minolta SLR. The woman who bought it was doing a photography course and remembered using an identical one twenty years plus ago.

It might not be as good as some of the other items people have sold, but I have an item up that I bought for £1.50 last week. The current price is £31 with 8 hours still to go!

I've had a good sale today. My dad is refurbishing a factory so has to clear out all the old equipment. Gained 2 fans for a spray booth (for nothing!). First one sold this morning for £160. The second one is slightly damaged but getting offers for £50 but think im going to auction it!

Not really in the giddy heights of Black Satern's book dealing, but I was given a horrible pressed fairies book for christmas, put it on ebay and it went for £15 - £6 more than amazon was selling it for at the time!!
Morally...dodgy, I think I should have kept it for at least a year!!0 -
My £1.50 item finished this evening at £52, I'm going to go and have a lie down now !

I once bought a carebear from a car boot sale for ten pence that went for £342. That was a shock - mind you that was a few years ago and now they seem to have gone down in value quite a lot (last one of this kind went for about £25!)
I have also sold a book that i paid a quid for for 67 pounds.
It really does depend on who is around looking to buy at the time doesn't it?Just discovered this site - it's addictive!0 -
Bought a new Boden skirt on ebay for £7, didn't fit and had a flaw, relisted it as a second and got £40!0
