PARKER PENS 74p @ TESCOS

in It's gone, but was it any good?
just got back from mr T'S and picked up a couple of parker pens (jotter) for 74p each the rest of them were £6 odd.
the barcode number on the back of the pack is 5011247335669

    just got to my store...checkout op says this is incrrect, called for manager and they said that these are withdrawn from sale (I think i can smell s**t).

    So at the checkouts, I managed to embarrase the manager, by saying only...

    Me: So are you saying that I cannot have these pens?
    Manager: They are not for sale. Incorrect price
    Me: Well, under the trade description act 1987, section 2 states that its marked for sale at a price should be sold tthe marked price....(I dont have the first clue about anything I have just told the manager!)
    Manager: ok..ok..ok i'll let you have these this time.
    Me: Ok thats fine, ju before you go, can I have your Area Managers contact details.
    Manager: Just check to see if these are the correct pens!!!

    Got you this time TESCOS BATHGATE!!!

    See even have my witts about me @ 1 in the morning!

    Thanks Cashman. In my local store they also had Parker Reflex Fountain pens for £1.74.

    I got two of the Parker pens (Jotters) for 74p at Tescos in Tiptree. SEL clearly states 74p. Not even a discontinued/special offer price.

    In the interests of research I had a look in wh smiths to see similar pens- it looks to me like parker have redesigned the packaging and possibly the pens too as the jotter ones now say rollerball.So maybe they are being phased out- smiths seemed to have totally different packaging on all the parker pens.
    I got a couple last night and think they are a good buy- thanks op.

    You could be right abuot new designs, cos WHS had Parkers in at half price 2-3 weeks ago. I bought two.
