HDMI Cable, Best For The Price!

  • I went with one of the external companies from Amazon, think it was this one actually...

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/1-8M-HDMI-Cable-Gold-Connectors/dp/B0017RW94A/ref=sr_1_1/279-6840307-7560459?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1251898012&sr=8-1

After doing days of research and reading the information on the web it seemed I wasn't going to gain much from spending more on the cable

    £1.90 plus free shipping...

looks at his measely £3.99 HDMI cable from Tesco and sighs........

The good news is your cable will do exactly the same job as his "quality" cable... and the same as the cable I got from Sainsbury's for a pound a while back.

It's digital, all the cable is doing is transferring zeros and ones. As long as they get there, it will be fine. How they get there makes absolutely no difference.

I bought a few gold plated ones from the Zavvi stores before they closed, were £3 and 1.5metres in length, really good quality build on them.... Anyway the Home Bargain £2.99 ones look good as well but not tried them.....
This thread sort of reminds me of the £250 Monster speaker cable sitting in my house, luckily I won them on a competition so got them for free!

Don't loose sight of what I was trying to say....I, as in MY opinion, thought it was a great "quality" cable for the price of a curry for 2 (lets not get into an argument about the cost of a curry now!) I didn't say other cables were cr#p....I didn't say others wouldn't work as well and I didn't say it was the cheapest , I just said it was made really well and I wanted to share a "good buy" with you guys.....believe me, I had no idea that I would have been lighting the touch paper!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to rip me apart

Well the cable is 1.3 spec as most of the cheaper hdmi cables are not guaranteed to work under the 1.3 spec, plus they look good and cheaper than if you went to Comet or Currys so some people might like it....
