You've not missed much! pretty dullsville here.......is that on facebook yet or should I trademark it??I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
I am beat!
but bathroom is now gleaming, house has been hoovered from top to bottom....am sure I've done more but can't remember what!
Meal plan is ready for the week & apparently we need....bananas. Thats it. I am shaking my head in disbelief! Could actaully get away without the bananas but that would leave Mr Lurker low on his 5 a day - I never miss mine as I have salad for lunch! will be a tired salad this week but do I care!?!
Thats already eased the grocery budget for the month....I love my freezer!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
seems I sopke too soon.....on double checking the cupboards it turned we needed a bit more than I thought. also took Mr Lurker which is a know problem!
Still. not to worry, best to go over at beginning of the month so I've got time to claw it back!
Will spend Friday evening doing a proper cupboard inventory to give me a chance of staying in budget
Can't decide whether to work at the weekend or not - am already shattered & its only hump day.....can I really face the alarm clock for 3 more days......but then again...££s....
On a good old-stlyee note - Mr Lurker spotted some seasoning for potato wedges in Mr T the other day, said he'd quite like to try it.....rather than putting it in the trolley I reminded him of the cajun spices he wanted but have been in the cupboard untouched for ....a long time. Last night, we had homemade wedges & they were YUMtastic...so much so even he has said that we won't buy the frozen ones any more - result!!!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
it is the little changes that make the difference

well I chose the ££s...so am sat under a blanket with laptop keeping me warm as the heating went off 2 hours ago , but really wanting to go to bed!
Breadmaker is on & will finish in about half an hour, so waiting for that so i can take it out & then I am off to bed - assuming Kitty comes when called
Ideally I'd like to get in work by 8.15 as I don't think I can manage 8!!
then will come home, have lunch & venture to Mr T.....& then chill for the rest of the afternoon...might even pick up a book and read for a while...but then again I can feel a baking session coming on...yumyums!!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
the yumyums sound good
Enjoy the extra dosh
I should be paid Monday - but not had a text from a company yet to let me know they have received anything - so not sure if I will be. Another reason why I hate where I work!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

went to work Saturday morning, and actually understood what I was doing for 3& half hours - result!
so very nearly stuck to the list @ Mr T....so theres £80 left in the budget for the next 3 weeks....
Then instead of having a baking session, I curled up on the settee with the remote control & had a little snooze...lush
On the money side, I let things slide a little last week as far as lunches were concerned, but luckily the canteen is subsidised so when I did spend it wasn't as much as it might have been. Back in control again this week (well it is only Tuesday).
Had a bit of a result with quidco too - had registered a card for in-store cash back a few weeks ago - thanks to flying_fresian for making me aware of that - and halfords is one of the participating retailers...new battery for car last week at £114.99 is earning £4.31 in cashback - woopwoop
I will be working again this Saturday - if I can in for 8.15 i will.....but 8 would be better.
Chatting with someone at work was interesting - shes feeling the pinch with a weekly food budget for 2 of £60......I wish!!
& lastly - the adventures in cookery continue - treacle crunchies last night....not bad, although next time I need a bigger heaped tablespoon of treacle...noy qute sure how to get that!!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
