This is a Micky Mouse company and should not be trusted I have been waiting in excess of 2 months for my 40" LED TV and to date have still not received anything but hassle from them. First they told me I would receive my gift 28 days after I sent in my first bill, then it changed to 28 days after the bill had cleared which oddly enough took 28 days, I spoke to someone on the 18/10/11 who told me I should have received in 28 days after my first bill.....He advised me he would call me back, sadly no phone call came and I contacted them again and was promised a return call which again never came. I have since contaced my service provider who contacted them and they told them that they where in the process of changing suppliers! I contacted them yesterday 24/10/11 and was told there was now a stock issuse....sounds to me like they operate a terrible company with very poor after sales service. I am suspecting that if I do receive my TV it will no doubt not be the one I wanted.... Lesson learned!0

I have just cancelled an order with Affordablemobiles that was placed on thursday(1/11), I have been phoneing them almost everyday as i ordered a SG note 2, The website said in-stock and if you order before 7pm for next day delivery I have phoned nearly every working day since and keep getting definate delivery dates of 1 or 2 days, today(5/11) they told me it would be thursday (8/11). The Woman on the end of the phone said that it states on the website please allow upto 7 days for delivery but I could not find it anywhere, every page had "order before 7pm for next day delivery"
This might not seem to bad but they also had problems taking a deposit for the phone, they gave me another number to ring that would take the deposit and give me a number to quote when I phone back to confirm the deposit had been paid, When I asked the person taking the deposit for this number they replied, " I dont know what you mean, the order is processed for you, it will be with you tomorrow", so I phoned the original number and was told the order will not be placed with out the code, but they did sort it out for me there and then.
The customer service number is never answered, I could only get through on the sales number.
Well I have spent a few quid on phone calls now so I am out of pocket before we get started.
I figure if they can not organise themselves when I'm trying to buy the phone , what are they going to be like if I have a problem later on.0 -
This was my experience, please read right through till theend (its quite long) ...
I decided to make a purchase from this company because thedeal I'd found was very good\competitive. I had decided to go for a new HTC ‘One’in black - which I knew was not in stock anywhere (HTC were having productionproblems)
So I was happy to wait, I got through to AffordableMobiles salesline very quickly and confirmed the deal they were offering - and decided to gofor it (I was assured that no moneywould be taken from me until the phone was shipped - about 2 weeks they said) Ireconceived an email within minutes, confirming it was arranged (though therewas no actual details of the purchase) I thus didn’t think about it for awhile.
After about 3 weeks I noticed that the phones were startingto be available in shops etc. (though still limited supply) and decided it wastime to start chasing as I’d not heard anything. Their website did not have any furtherdetails of my order. So I sent them an email to them asking them to confirm thedetails of my order and asking what the availability of the phone was. I did not get a reply and after a few daysdecided to try and phone them. I foundit hard to get through on the phone to customer services, but eventually I did(a 10-15 mins wait) and was served by a very helpful person, I asked him aboutthe availability of the phone and the status of my order.
He said they had received about 200 of the handsetsyesterday - and that my account was pending a credit check, I pointed out thatI had not heard anything and he said that 2 emails had been sent: - one about 2weeks ago asking for further credit check details and one in response to theemail I'd sent. Well it turned out, that I had indeed been sent these (they hadgone into my junk email!)
When I looked at them, I could see that the credit checkemail was indeed 2 week old (it was because T Mobile wanted to do a furthercheck, because it came up that I already had an account with them - not really AffordableMobilesfault).
The other email was a reply to mine (sent only 2 hours afterI sent mine) confirming the order correctly, and re-stating I needed to supplysome further T-Mobile data. I apologisedto the guy on the phone for having not seen the emails, supplied him directlyover the phone (and via email) and was told by him, that once the T-Mobilecredit check had passed they would process the order.
Within 1/2 hour of the phone call, I got an email saying thecredit check by T-Mobile was successful and they were processing the order.About two hours later, I got an email through saying the phone was shippingwith the next day delivery service. Itturned up the very next day !
So as far as I'm concerned AffordableMobiles is a very goodand legitimate company - which offered excellent service and prices, any delayswere due to factors outside of their control e.g. HTC having production problems,T-Mobile wanting extra info and mainly my email incompetence.
I don’t normallywrite reviews, but have seen quite a lot of negative one for this company andfelt I should try and balance things a bit.

Ordered a Sony Xperia, it came about 1 week after I ordered it ( not next day) and then broke within 3 days, turned itself off to never turn on again!!!!! I have sent it back 6 weeks ago and still not had my phone back, I was told to just send the phone so I did but have since been told to send all of it, they will not send the phone without the charger. Still waiting for my phone and have called at least 8 times, each time you have to wait 40 minutes for your call to be answered. Awful company and awful customer service. I only used this company because of a Wowcher offer, go with a network supplier.
Managed to get through they have lost my charger and box now!!!0 -
Just wanted to add our very positive experience of affordable mobiles. In December my husband ordered a new phone with Toshiba laptop 'free' gift with contract on 3. The phone was delivered next day and the laptop arrived about a week later, but in time for Christmas. The whole experience of ordering the phone and contract and changing over to Three was very quick and easy and done without having to speak to anyone.
After my husband's great experience with them, when my contract with Vodafone finished last Sunday I checked affordable mobiles as I wanted a new phone and a Nexus 7. They had the new HTC One and Nexus 7 on There for £20 less per month than I had seen anywhere else. I placed my order online on Saturday evening and received notification via email almost immediately that the network had accepted me. The phone was delivered 8.25am on Monday and my Nexus on Thursday, both sealed as new. The whole switch over to Three was so easy and I took my number with me. I give affordable mobiles 5 stars.0 -
Hmmm, I wish I'd thought to do some research on this company before ordering. I placed an order for a Nokia Lumia 900 phone - just a phone, no contract etc. I've received an email saying that I've made it through their inital credit check and now they just need a copy of my drivers licence and a bank statement to process the order- eh? It's a simple straightforward purchase! After reading some poor reviews about the company, I'm not happy to give them any personal details so I emailed them back to ask why and their reply was "it's to safeguard their customers from card fraud". I've advised them that unless they can process the order without my ID, I'd like to cancel the order. They've already taken the money out my account so I'd better not wait too long for a refund.

hi i just got a phone with these and don't really trust the company i also just read the terms and conditions about sending the phone back its saying they will not except it if the sim has been inserted in the phone and my son has inserted it but it has not been turned on will they except the phone back. can someone help please i think this company is very dodgy0

If you are certain it's not been turned on at all then putting the sim in cannot be detected.0

Think this company do everything to try and get out of paying cashback. Sent in forms to claim first cashback with no response.
After phone call they say send in again but with registered post and after sent they emailed to say not all forms sent and you out of time now, bad luck. £27.99 X 6 One down with no luck so will try again on second and will keep you posted to what excuses they make.0 -
All our claims over three contracts are being paid as they should. I suggest you ensure you're doing things right and in a timely fashion before blaming them. If it were I, they would not be ABLE to refuse to pay (unless they went bust) because I would have followed the groundrules for any cashback contract (and I've literally had or watched over hundreds of them).0
