Hopeless I am sorry! Been a busy month with trying to get out and about more while not doing too much....Lots of good news to report...firstly had meeting today to plan return to work and am doing phased so wk 1 a 4 day week; wk 2 every day but short days...etc...I met my new manager who was supportive and i felt encouraged when I left. ill be having a full indiction so it will be like being a new social worker! Also able to discuss training needs and and be open and honest with each other so that was a positive start.
Money wise paid a lump sum off debt and smaller sum will go off cc. Hasnt been a great month, or year for that matter year, so am looking forward to some routine in all sences.
Mum is still here and will be until we can sell her flat and then mine and get somewhere togeather. She is still quite unwell (very shaky on her feet, gets quite wobbly and memory is far worse than normal) and were seeing hospital tomorrow and will try to push to get her gallsbladder op done quickly...thankfully she has lots of knitting projects and is generally content pottering at home and locally, although is busting to get to allotment!
I have started learning the violin whic currently sounds like strangled cat and Ive seriously managed to crucify twinkle twinkle!! Am enjoying it and mum also liking hearing me improve!
Finally delivered poppy and dotty to respective foster homes and they are waiting to be rehomed. Was very sad but also knew it was the right thing to do...
Sorry havent been on much - hope to be back into the mundane of day to day life soon! Who would have thought I had missed that eh!

  • Hospital went well but mum still has a stone lodged in which is why she still feels rubbish! Will be in to have it removed in under a month but she has to have tube down throat so nasty test but he promised that she will be sedated properly first this time! Nice bloke but may need some encouragement to remove gallbladder but will read up on that first!
Thanks for good wishes re work...looking forward to getting Monday over and done with...loathe the first day feeling and in thinking about it havent had one for over 10 years!! Change will be good though and I was able to email my old team so felt like one door closing in some ways, while the new one opening.
Am going camping tomorrow but its been expensive as realised that I sold my sleeping bag which was gutting so had to get that today...alas having ample girth cant fit in a skinny one and also like to have space to move and not have hot feet! Will take my hottie, torch and bits n bobs so am excited - apparently rain due to depart! Fingers crossed - it chucked it down today!
