isom, many of us have taken loans out at that rate, i know i did, and i never considered myself to be a bad credit risk at the time (i don't think i do now either as i've never missed a payment etc), i guess i thought they were normal loan rates at the time, but then the base rate was higher when we took them out. (not talking about quick quids they're legalised pirates if you ask me - was talking about your other post) :)
guess what i'm saying is you are doing something about it, so please don't tear yourself up so much about the choices you made a few years ago, we've all learnt by those choices and are better people for them.

Well just home after a very long day...mum emailed this morning to say she wast well and could do with some TLC whch translated into "oh s***" shes really ill so went to weston picked her up and bought her home (too ill to even pack her own bag!) put her to bed and rang her gp who wasnt happy that she was breathless just talking so after a VERY long night have just left her waiting for a bed in a bed IYKWIM! They said its unlikely that she will go up to a ward tonight so am home for a fewhours sleep...bless her she really feels rotten but I have to say the staff were all lovely plus she is finally REALLY considering moving here which would be great although logistics would be interesting!
    Off to bed I go!

Hi all! Well been a looong 24 hours...Mum happily ensconced with lots of drinks, fruit etc and has taken a linking to thick and creamy yogs! Ive now done all necessary phone calls/texts etc and off to bed in mo. Going in about 3pm so will have a morning sorting washing etc!! An endless stream of nighties but thankfully she should be "released" on Tues...she is much better than she was yesterday and the struggle will be getting her to rest!

Sorry to hear about your Mum ISOM

Hope all back to normal ASAP.

Just thinking - does she have a heart problem? My Mum was struggling to breathe before she had her heart problem. All sorted now thought thankfully.

Thanks all...KP its not her heart - at least shes had a full mot! She had xray; heart trace; bloods etc and she has an infection in the bottom of her left lung which meant breathing/talking etc became tricky...shes alot better than she was but still a way to go as still quite weak so will have to relax here!
Im ok...thankfully tablets are working so have coped ok - think I would have struggled otherwise...still in the process of sorting money etc out as chaging accounts over and new one not fullt sorted yet so may need to do stuff manually!

Never rains...lodger having probs with phone so will need to use internet etc as works from home...mum likely to be in hospital a while as still got pneumonia and bless her quite weepy and very pale today...so now trying to sort the care of her cats out...its not fair for them to be at home alone for nigh on 2 months but finding an alternative is tricky and I dont like the thought of a cattery...feeling all a bit much with work situation and trying to sort money/accounts out on top of that plus lap top keeps shutting down...ahhhhhh ...and breathe.
Cats sorted...lodger will have them on a trial ...if all else fails they will come here...made me realise how important having pet foster cares is for situations like this - esp for older people as they love ther pets so much. Neighbor next to mums bed adores her cat ad I know would be heartbroken if she were to loose him...
