Thanks makeup - inspite of feeling very iffy for a couple of hours which made me go to bed at 8.30 :o I have survived the night intact :j

Of all minor ailments, throwing up is the one that upsets me the most - I loathe it & will do anything to avoid it - hence my binge drinking days didnt last long.

DD managed to retain all the liquid she had yesterday & this morning had half a piece of toast. I always find that fizzy drinks are best when feeling icky so she has drowned about half my tonic supply - must get some ginger beer for her as ginger is great for reducing nausea.

No work again today so will have to make up the time if I dont want a reduced salary  which is a pain but does mean that I wont have fridays free to go a-spending.

Due to have cat flap fitted at the week end so really need to go buy one, might try popping out later if DD feeling a bit better, but she 'll have to stay in the car so she we dont get 'done' by police for truanting.

Going to do some chores now ...

  • Hi Lula,

Sorry to hear that DD has been poorly, glad you didn't catch it though.

For some reason I still don't get notification through when you've posted, apparently I am subscribed so I guess that the gremlins don't like me lol.

    Hello Tea,

I'm blessed with a remarkable consititution so I rarely catch anything full blown :).

Have done 5 surveys & am within a whisper of claiming £10 from lightspeed, but intend to leave all survey earnings untouched until nearer christmas ...

Have also done a huge amount of virtual shopping & spent virtual hundreds  but I wont need to wait in for the postman :D.

DD gets a headache & goes all wobbly when she stands up so we'll be staying in all day which means another NSD. Due to visit my grandmother tomorrow so wont spend any money then either.

Must clean the bathroom, download booking form for half term club & also magic up a way to pay for it

Will have to buy catflap on saturday & also buy a few fresh gorceries. I fully intend to get through the month on that £32 & without having to do maths to deduct all the household items.

I MUST CLEAN THE BATHROOM NOW :o

    Hi Lula

Hope DD is feeling better now and I'm pleased to hear it didn't get you too.

What did you add to your virtual shopping basket? I'm about to look for some leggings to go with the boyfriend jumper :D

 Wol what the ecky peck are you doing waking my thread up at that time in the morning :naughty:

Scarily enough I think I actually woke up at about that time & as I'm a curious & 'sensitive' soul I did wonder why I had woken up, but hadnt realised just how 'connected' to my thread I am :o.

Well, it's friday, the end of a hell of week so ... I have decided to declare it Pink Elephant Juice night

I have to say that I was actually very good :D after leaving here yesterday; I cleaned the bathroom thoroughly, hoovered & then washed the floors, we both had baths & then early nights.

Today I have been a teeny weeny bit naughty. I have been a-spending again. It seems that 4 NSDs in a row makes me break out in a frenzy on day 5 :o. I bought some fab wine glasses that are 1) very sturdy, 2) very pretty & 3), hold enough elephant juice to drain the bottle in a mere 3 glasses . I like them :p.

I also had to buy some new scales as the cheapo ones I bought while trying to be MSE are absolute rubbish . New ones are fab, tres retro & work brilliantly :D

I also bought a cat flap, some more dry food as it was on offer & then slipped into Waitrose  on my way home to stock up on fruit & veg, bread & milk for the week ahead. Delicious organic greek yoghurt was on offer so I bought 4 huge tubs as I plan to eat more of this kind of stuff to keep me healthy, rather than all the gack I previously consumed. I also think ( take note Wol :A) that I may be developing a wheat intolerance so have stocked up on yummy ryvitas too. I collected my free chiken piri piri for 2 meal & will be trying that out tomorrow.

I bought a new gorgeously huge measuring jug too as it was such a nice shape & very useful for soup making. Not quite sure what buying all the homewares stuff is about but presume it's something to do with denying myself clothes & magazines :rotfl:. Never mind, it's useful stuff & will last.

Waitrose grocery spend was £ 18.16 so my total for the month is now £131.96.

DD woke up full of beans & good cheer so went back to school & is just about to finish her club so I really should go fetch her ...

Will confess the rest of my spends & my plans to recoup the money in a bit ...

    xx

    Hmmmm,

sunday night already  where did the weekend go ?

I had to do a bit more spending yesterday - bought another cat flap as I had doubts about the one I had bought on friday. i also had to take back the door handle thingy & created a bit of a scene when I declined to give my postcode when getting a refund of £3.50. They didnt want it when I bought the item, so I see no reason to have it when I return an item. DD suspects a nploy to send me marketing info & sell my details on to others ... I think she may be right.

Cat is remarkably uninterested in having his own personal door to the chateau. He is happy to come in through it when the front door has been shut, but has shown little inclination to use it as an exit. I dont blame him; I love to have people open doors for me :D

I've spent most of the weekend decluttering my room - threw out more old clothes & a pair of shoes & made a start on sorting through the boxes of photos whihc I have succesfully avoided for 2 years now - I'm very pleased with the result so far :)

DD had a pyjama day today but is otherwise back to her usual good health :j.

We had the free chicken with piri piri sauce meal & it was delicious  will definitely be buying that.

I've just paid the electrity bill but have no spare cash for any debt repayments this week :(

Must get off to bed now & expect to have to work all week to makeup for days off last week & just know there will be loads of paperwork to catch up on. Timing not ideal as I'm pretty sure that this week is the end of my trial period ... _pale_ but will just have to wait & see what happens ... could be the right week to try out my new lingerie & low cut tops :rotfl:

    bye for now
    xx
