Trust me Lexxi you'd rather pay somebody over the odds than have me have a go at it lol
Good work on changing the tariff on your mobile, how can they really expect a woman to not talk so muchhonestly!
Good luck your new pub Lexxi. Are you still in the same area? Will you be using it as a B&B? Don't forget if ever you need any help drinking the profits then I'm always here to be called uponPart of me would love to run a pub, but I am rubbish at throwing people out I'm too soft could never do it. My Mam runs one and I hate it incase anything happens to her, luckily after 8 years nothing ever has. She's not as soft as me though.
Initial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80
Debt now Jan 2021 - £6,208.21

It makes it even worrse that my mum is the person I speak to the most and we have been skypeing lol.
The building we are taking on has been bought so we're only in there temporary, like we are here but we could still have 12 months there, minimum would be 8. There isn't much point in doing any works to the building at our expense as it would just be pouring it into a black hole. I may use some creativity to try and make money from the other rooms, that have no heating or light, or possibly water :rotfl: We get to stay in the same are, but this pub has a better name. I thought I'd be soft standing up to people but I'm getting quiet good at using my big girl voice now0 -
Hi Lula,
Just popped in to say 'Hi', When are you going camping and where abouts are you going? We are going to the Lake District and are planning on dropping in on my mum one day whilst we are up there.
Catch you later xx0 -

Hey guys, hope everyone's ok,
I've just dragged myself off ebay where I'm watching about 10 pairs of bootsI've put in my maximum bid & wont go over it as I've learned my lesson there  thanks to Fire Fox & her tip about Top Cashback I've now learned that you get cashback form buying on ebay. I recently got a pair of trousers from there which I need to declare on the Clothes Challenge & got 59 p cashback
Lexxi, how about Bowski & I come & do some painting & get to test all the drinks to make sure they're safe for the paying punters :rotfl: You're absolutely right about the Pink Elephant overdose, I had a Baileys stock pile last christmas & drank my way through at least 2 bottles in about a week, havent wanted to touch it since. Think if I can just stick to one bottle a week then that's acceptable.
Tea, I havent planned any camping yet, still trying to come to terms with it as a holiday alternative. Quite right that we should though as I have so much equipment. Must hurry up & get debt free so I can buy a camper van instead
Today has been a NSD so that's probably number 6 now. I'm still enjoying the job & particulalry all the free drinks while I'm there. It's starting to make sense now & I think I've learnt everyones' name & roughly what they do, which does help somewhat.
On the home front we now have a trumpet . DD is so excited & couldnt wait to show me, she did try to play 'hot cross buns' for me ... I thought it was '3 blind mice'so I may have really offended her.
The catopuss is now starting to venture outside very cautiously. He will now sit at the bottom of the steps until anyone approaches & then legs it back inside, dont think he's in a hurry to stray from here .
I had the christmas discussion with my sis at the weekend & as agreed last year, she is happy to entertain the older relatives which means that for the first time in 10 years we get to stay at home :j. DD has never had a christmas at home & I have always had to drive so I'm really really looking forward to it & very excited as we can spend the day as we please.
Need to get to bed now so ...
G'night

Oh yessy yes yessss, Fred here has just managed NSD number 8
In true Lula Styleee though, this means that in order to compensate for the halo hovering over my purse, I have eaten like a rather hungry & not very elegant cochon( that's a leetle french peeg in case anyone was wondering ... not that leetle either actually )
Never mind, it is home job payday tomorrow yay & time to top up the funds. Sad though it may seem, I do actually enjoy allocating the notes to each separate folder & ticking it off in my book. No, not the B.P.B. I have a separate one just for my funds where I write in each week's contributions, any amount used & also the running total. It will not be a surprise to anyone that the job I have recently started is admin based with a leaning towards book keeping :rotfl:.
I have also been pondering this batch cooking malarkey & do recall that once upon a time I used to do all sorts of things with mince & onions. I'd forgotten all about this until DD complained that we only ever seem to have quorn mince nowadays.'Tis true & very silly as we can easily make up some shepherds type pie, bolognese, chilli & lasagne all based on the mince & onions & only needing to add some extra ingredients for variety. I would now like to place an order for sunshine on sunday morning so that we can go to the allotment & harvest the last few bits of whatever, then some rain in the afternoon so that we can cook lots of yummy food to keep us going during the week.
I will reduce that weekly shopping bill one day, but do need to restock with herbs & spices as it's been so long . I'm also experimenting with making delicious smelling pomanders to keep moths away from clothes & to naturally fragrance the home. I will post my results if succesful.
Off to wander again now ...0 -
I'm imagining you as some sort of cross between a white witch and Barbara from the Good Life: floaty dress and wellies, a giant cauldron of mince'n'onions, ladle in one hand pink elephant in the other ...Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

You won't have gone for the free baileys sample then Fred? I ordered one for my mum, just hope she doesn't get loads of leaflets through her door lol.
You can be paid in alcohol Lula and Bowski but we won't be decorating for a while and you can't be any worse than me and OH, we seem to have left a strip of tape in one corner of the wall so we didn't go over with the paint and neither of us have moved it in 4 months :rotfl: What are your curtain making skills like, I think we'll need them most important as there are lots of windows, we don't have any here as it would have cost £300 per window
I'm trying to get a few more recipes together for us so if I find any good uns I'll let you know, there is a thread in OS about lazy cooking, if you would like the link?0 -
