Wow, what a day.
didnt get off to a good start as both DD & cat were up & about by 7 . My body wakes up ok, but I am not a nice person in the morning. Anyone who has ever lived with me will testify. I get up early so that I can be alone for at least 45 minutes. I need silence, to do my yoga, sip my peppermint tea & slowly join the world. I do not want to trip over cats, share the bathroom or have conversations until I am ready .
I am also wise enough to realise that perhaps I was a little nervous about new jobby trial, so made apologies where necessary. DD was escorted to school, I came home & had a coffee ( big mistake) & then set off ...
I loved it. Although I was really just filing & sorting invoices, statements etc it's a good way to get to know a bit about the business & suss out the clients from the creditors. The friend who I'm helping out had to go out for an hour or so leaving me in charge of the phones & not knowing who else works there & in what department
so it was a baptism of fire but I hope I scraped through without revealing to Boss that I'm a complete muppet :rotfl:. I had another coffee while I was there & immediately got a caffeine overdose headache
so will remember to stick to just the one a day that I've now got used to . It was great to be working with 'proper' grown ups in a professional business & has made me realise that contrary to my beliefs that I never wanted to go into that working environment again, I feel comfortable in it & enjoy the processes of creating order.
I left full of buzz that inspite of a 9 year absence & being technologically challenged in many ways, I can still be effective in that type of environment & do have options other than the job I currently do :j.
Stopped off to register cat at vets on the way back & they say that if he seems happy & contented here then I dont have to wait the full 4 weeks to let him outside. Might try taking him to garden while attached to length of string while DD at school tomorrow. She'll panic that we havent done it by the book if she's here .
DD enjoyed her club again, threw some food at her & then we headed off to local secondary school for an open evening. We were shown around by 2 lovely girls full of enthusiasm & we didnt actually make it to the headteachers speech as there were so many activites to try out in each faculty. 2 hours went by while DD tried out various chemical experiments, had a good squeeze of bits of an ox _pale_ & I learned how to make a pomander to keep moths out of my wardrobe from the very nice :heartpuls history teacher. DD is so doing history & I cant wait for parents consultation evening
I had about 2 hours of home-job work & suspect that 'things' are happening again  Wages will be dire this week which I dont need as it's DDs birthday. Can see me having to use a CC for the day out
Need my bed now
G'night

I see them lot at MSE Towers have moved a whole load of threads to the diaries board and Carry On Questing has also been shifted:rolleyes:
Drove a hundred miles today - well I did take the scenic route a few times:rotfl: but the visit was productive and I came home to pick up some stuff that I said I would deliver tomorrow so I took it today instead:D Now these are leaflets and some business cards which I have been told will go into bridal goodie bags for a wedding fair at a posh hotel this weekend:cool:
Still lots to do and some productive things to look forward to in the coming weeks.0 -

That title is merely jest I promise
I am feeling quite pleased with myself & the first months achievements.
My total spends for the month ( excluding, rent, bills, funds & CC payments ) has come in at £627.13 I like to know exactly where all my cash is going so I have been keeping a very detailed spending diary. The breakdown is :
Groceries - £ 152.29
Wine - £ 20.49
Household - £ 25.15
Fuel - £ 31.52 - yay I made it through the month on one tank
Presents - £ 101.19
Clothes DD - £ 26.01
Brownies - £ 75.
Clubs - £ 27.
Miscellanea - £ 31.88
Cat - £ 140.14
Clothes me - £2.46
Hmmmm, for my first month back on serious Questing that's ok. Obviously stuff like Brownies & clubs wont have to paid next month, the cat costs should go down by £100 & so should the presents.
I am fine with the grocery & wine spends as about £25 of that was for parties. I reckon I can easily just have one bottle a week now that I have a job that requires me to drive to it & also use my brain a bit . I aim to get the grocery & cat stuff down to £40 a week. The household spends wont be £25 every month as I just bought verything this month to see how much it would cost. The most exciting thing has been managing to get to the end fo the month & still have half a loo roll left, thanks to the old style tip of flattening the roll.
I have also managed to earn £20 in survey vouchers & £23 from Quidco. That wont all be paid but I did get an email to say that £17 is on it's way to my secret savings account :j.
Need to post this quick before midnight ...0 -

Ok, first of all I have to say a huge :Tto Wol for the amazing dancing piggie, utterly brilliant :rotfl:.
I have now reset my phone so I dont exceed my free minutes & texts. at 500 texts thats pretty unlikely but with only 100 mins I might . what I must remember to do is use my mobile if I have to make quick calls durig the day as I only have free ones from my landline to others at the week ends.
I am under siege from Scottish Power at the moment . They have set up a crack team to try to get me to surrender to their cunning wiles & supposedly cheaper tariffs. Three times now I have politely explained to them that I dont give a flying monkey how cheap their prices are. I am NOT singing up to any direct debit scheme. If they want my custom then it will be on my terms not theirs. The money sits in my account until they send me a quarterly bill at which point I will pay it promptly. The money does not sit in their account to be shuffled offshore, all around the carribean & far east -Lloyds TSB stylee- to evade tax & then earn them interest.
Vraiement, zees peeple are peessing me off
As predicted wages are under the required amount this week so I'll have to do a bit of sneaky shuffling to make sure the important things get paid/funded but will update later.
At some point tomorrow I need to fill my car up, buy some loo rolls, special breakfast treats for DD, make her a card & wrap her presents up. No Horace, it wont be the cat :rotfl:. Oh, and I need to go to trial proper work job too; had a call from my friend to say 'wear old clothes, we're being creative ' ... am intrigued.
Must go read new library book & try to sleep
night night

Hi Lula....
Well done on your sucessful month :T Everything's looking great and in order. I am hoping to take a leaf out of your book for this month, I would love to know where every single penny goes and it shouldn't be that hard for me because I mainly use my card so all shows up on my bank statement. Then it's just a matter of getting receipts everywhere I go and actually keeping hold of them!
I keep getting letters from scottish power too but they're sent through my letting agents.
Hope you enjoy getting messy at your proper work job :jInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80
Debt now Jan 2021 - £6,208.21
Overpayment pot - £00
