Not enough money to live on very depressed

Hi Monkeychops,
Maybe you could think again about moving - for example in Derby/Notts you can rent a terraced house for £450 per month. Ok - so not in the best of areas but big enough for the two of you and the dog. The money you save could be used for trips to visit the family and to put down as a deposit on a house (if you don't go down the 100% mortgage route). It needn't be forever and a change might feel like a great new start for you.
Do think about getting some extra skills but as a previous poster said, you probably have loads of talents that you are just not recognising - maybe you could do book-keeping by doing a course? Learndirect courses are fairly cheap I think? (Someone else may know other providers). They could at least give you advice on various courses. I don't know about benefits but mayabe some courses are free for tax credit you are on (I think you said you were on that? will go back and read your post!)
All the very best :grouphug:
