Inappropriate???

One part of me is thinking, he's greek and it's just no big deal, but then the texting etc. is a bit over the mark, especially as it's casual texting.
Hmm what a pickle, i would prob ignore for a while and hope he gets the message, then go from there.
Oh and yes i would definitley change the locks for peace of mind.

I will text him the website address for gumtree i think, he said he would call me back later so if i do that i guess he doesnt need to ring back later

By texting him back you are encouraging the texting which is friendly not professional behaviour. Can you e-mail instead?

you may have inadvertantly given him the wrong idea by asking him to help you with moving furniture and such.. just a thought

Yeah I agree with Fire Fox here, texting him back is still far to casual either email him or simply ignore it. It needs to go back to professional and thats not gonna be easy when you are texting etc as it is very casual and matey. Like previosuly mentioned make sure all repair requests are in writing.

I dont have an email address for him, so that is out of the question.

hotchop i never actually asked for his help he has always offered in such a way as 'oh do you want me to move x while im here to get it out your way' kind of thing.
