Try going to bed before 1! :D

    Har har, Ed! ;)

OK, so I spent £1 on a small bottle of coke today as I was sooo tired after last night (not good!), then £125 car tax () , and £4.99 on a bottle of red for mum to thank her for getting the tax for me as I got myself in a bit of a muddle with the dates and couldn't have done it without her. Cheers mum! :T (That bottle also got me out of another pickle, so I reckon it was money well spent!)

So tomorrow is my day off. I need to sort out my new driving licence, visit my poorly great-aunt, bake some soda bread for another sick lady up the road and tidy my room.

Oh, and another thing: I got next months rota at work today: instead of the four days holiday I was told I had to take before the end of the year, it seems that I have two whole weeks. My boss has booked me in for the second week of December (no choice for me), and told me I can take the second week in January. I feel that I will do nothing in that first week of hols as I have not really had the chance to plan anything, and I would honestly KILL for the chance to go away somewhere during the second week as I have had no holiday to speak of for years, but I won't really have any money. Maybe I need to see what I can do about that...

Anyway, better get to bed and ponder things in the morning. x

Mhh... soda bread with poached eggs :D

The second week of January will be a reasonable time for bargains etc. You might not be able to go jetting around the world, but I'm sure you could have a few nights in a nice hotel somewhere for a good price.

Busy day, lots of to-ing and fro-ing: great aunt visited, no soda bread made and paper counterpart to driving licence just cannot be found! (That's really quite serious - I need to find it, sharpish!)

Also, I checked out my Experian report, but made a mistake with the dates and cancelled it a day late costing me £6.99. Gah!

There are more money headaches of a different variety which I will explain another time. I am not amused at all, but it's a long story for an earlier hour. :(

    Dormez bien! ...zzzz...

Pickle would just like to announce smugly that she has just wrapped all the Christmas presents she has bought, which amounts to about 99% of all the presents she has to buy. :D

Today was also a NSD in which I've earned £24.99 on Ebay (but transferred £80 out of my savings account to accompany the £50 I transferred out the other day to pay my CC bill), although all the things which were bad yesterday is still bad today. I'm not in work until 13.00 tomorrow so I'm going straight to bed to see if I can get up and get a fair bit of stuff sorted in the morning.

    Night all!

I hope your mum can find something a bit more permanent soon. And that's a bit strange what your brother said. Wishing you the best of luck with the second job and the work experience! Hope you get one or the other!

Just in from work. Absolutely cream-crackered. They have been cutting down on the number of staff working the late shift which means we are working like beavers and don't have the time to do all the behind-the-scenes tasks that we need to do to get the shop ready for the next day until after the shop shuts. Naturally this means that we get home later, so I didn't get in until just before 11, as I didn't leave the shop until 10.30. Luckily the supervisor on tonight said she would pay me the extra half hours (bringing in home-made cakes today was SUCH a good idea ;)), and my boss said she would pay last night's extra time as well, but they may stop saying that soon.

This morning, before work, I managed to rustle up two loaves of soda bread and thirty six chocolate chip fairy cakes. :A Good karma for sending nice bread up the road to the sick lady...:)

Right, these night shifts are killing me (I didn't buy and coke going to work today but I had to in the end as I was just dying on my feet. It just about got me through, but I was cross to have broken my NSD. :() so I am having one glass of red wine, watching Spooks, then going to bed as I tend to be going at stupid hours at the minute (like 3a.m. last night). I will be in bed for about midnight, up first thing tomorrow and listing like mad on Ebay, while finding my driving licence, tidying my room and applying for jobs.

That almost sounds like a plan for my rare weekend off. :)
