Indeed you are! :rotfl:
Today: went food shopping (buying lots of food for the new healthy eating regime - ouch), then went to buy two books I really, really want to buy myself as a treat out of this month's paypacket (Stephen Fry's new autobiography and 'I Shall Wear Midnight' by Terry Pratchett). I had calculated the cheapest place to buy them was online, until I was given a 20% off voucher while instore the other day, meaning that if I bought them this week before the voucher ended, it would be considerably cheaper than even online. Although I'm not paid until next week, I went to buy them today on my CC (to be paid off as soon as I got paid), but the Pratchett had gone up from £9.49 to £12.99. I decided not to buy it as online was once again cheaper, until the man at the till showed me the '£5 off any book over £10' voucher he was about to give me with my purchase, telling me how he didn't think the book would go up any more and that if I used the voucher when it is valid (next week), it would come to £7.99 for the book - far cheaper than online.
I took the voucher, heartily and will be making that purchase next week. The Fry book was £10 (half price already), which went down to £8 with the voucher, and that means that I will have spent the grand total of £15.99 on both hardback books, the cheaper of which alone should have cost £18.99.
Not bad for a day's hard bargain hunting. Please call me 'Pickle'

Impressed that the Quidco money has come through already: that's much faster than I anticipated.
Put some of it in my savings and am leaving the rest in my account as emergancy money until I get paid on Tuesday.
Then I'm going to put quite a bit more in.Please call me 'Pickle'

This one requires a simply stupid amount of organisation and almost starvation. I've been to the shops once already and bought a stupid amount of food in, and I still only seem to have half of what I need.REDMADCURLS wrote: »Quidco - I am waiting a life time for my money (well since May)
I'm waiting a lifetime just to get paid: it has never felt this long between paydays! Roll on Tuesday! :j

Thanks, Radish.Alas, no, but I had a very lovely girl instead, which was nice: I was afraid that I would get judged cos my my slightly larger than desired love handles.
There were only 2 guys there, and one of them was unintentionally hilarious. My partner and I were in the adjacent booth, and could hear all their conversation. One of the guys wasn't from this country, and I still don't think he's quite got it into his head that we will have different partners every week and that next week he will be massaging a GIRL!
Good times. Apart from having to fork out £10 to buy a towel so that we are all kitted out the same. *rolls eyes*
Still, I think I'm really going to enjoy this. Please call me 'Pickle'
