I saw the new Terry Pratchett book yesterday in WH Smith on my lunchbreak, and didn't buy it as I knew a) I'm utterly broke; 2) it would be cheaper online. I just read about it in someone else's thread, and went to look for it online, but have just reached the monumental decision (for me - I'm addicted to Pratchett's) NOT to buy it until I get paid at the end of the month as I just don't NEED it to survive (although I do need it in a completely other way!).

Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is willpower.

Be proud of your Pickle! ;)

    Thanks guys! :o:D

Can I just announce that I have officially made it to ONE WEEK of not spending a penny (apart from my scheduled mobile bill which came out of the bank)! :j

Having no social life is a pain in the arris, buy my word, it's cheap! ;)

In all seriousness, I think the bringing pre-made cordial drinks and my lunch to work is a major winner, and I will be looking forward to keeping this up in the future as it has made sure that I could have my NSW. It's probably a fairly sobering reflection on how much I spend on lunches/drinks at work.

Also, I haven't drunk coke (diet or otherwise) since the beginning of the month, which is great for my purse, as well as my teeth and gums. I'm going to try not to drink any for the rest of the month, and then forever more, and I was having some gum problems before which disappeared a few days after stopping the coke. And having some nice pre-chilled orange cordial to drink at work stops me from going to buy coke on my break.

I know this is all :money: & healthy 101, but sometimes I need to :wall: to get it back into my brain! (Silly Pickle! :o)

Now all I need to do is pack in the chocolate and wine, and I'll be an icklePickle! :rotfl:

P.S. Nice career&CV lady came to my house tonight to have a chat through stuff. I need to get a bit more pro-active at sending my CV out to more people, but other than that, things are looking OK. (OK is well, just OK, but Pickle wants at least good!)

Guess what? I've managed an EIGHTH NSD!

Am busy for the next few days and got an e-mail saying that there's a free listing day on Ebay tomorrow and I'm not going to get the chance to take full advantage of it. :( I hope to get somethings listed, though.

That's about it. I'm just busy getting on with it at the minute, really.
