Spent £37.60 on uniform for massage course at college. I really resent spending it as I already have a tunic, but it's in the 'wrong' colour, and I have to pay another £10 for a towel as well, so that we all have the same.
I have lots of nice towels...
Don't get me wrong...I see the point, but it is annoying when I have stuff that will do the job and better uses for the money! Please call me 'Pickle'

Zquillions! I mean, you'd need scaffoling for the extensions it gives your eyelashes, but you can't get it off! (Won't be buying again that for that reason. And the price.) Apparently, Maybeline is good and pretty cheap. Please call me 'Pickle'

Ooh Reddie, I think I've accidentally told you a pack of lies: I just checked my make-up pouch and it's Christan Dior Black Out that I've been using. To be fair, at least it does what it says on the tin (or tube, rather) - it really does black out your eyelashes, and then your whole eye area! But my eyelashes do look amazing with it, as I've got the teeny tiniest little eyelashes known to mankind (to go with my teeny tiny eyes!
).

Call me cynical {pauses for the obvious joke} - but carp such as having to buy the 'right' towels for a short? vocational course strikes me as just another example of the moneymaking scam that is the UK education system. Just like when I applied to my cheffing course and they conveniently forget to mention that I'd need £50 worth of textbooks and £200 worth of kit to pass it effectively...
When I have kids I hope to goodness they show some entrepreneurial ambition, feeling very down on study as a means to improve income at the moment.0 -

Can't believed you lied, I am devastated.. I thought we had a trusting and open relationship..................;)
Oh thats right you didn't, you made a mistake.
Now lets not fight but my lashes ARE smaller than yours for sure.
Should we call you teeny tiny tears! (Do they still make those dolls?)

I know what you mean, Ed. To be fair, we will be working in a salon environment so I suppose they want us to look vaguely the same and 'professional', but it means that I will have forked out £270 for the course + £37.60 + £10. They did at least tell us in advance, but it's still eye-watering. And hopefully I will be doing aromatherapy and reflexology there, so I will get the wear out of it (assuming I don't change dress size). However, my nail course (a bit like your cookery course) had a lot of unexpected expenses, and I think it should be a rule that courses have to advertise in advance what you will reasonably and/or compulsarily be obliged to purchase in order to get you through the course so that there aren't any nasty surpruses further along the line. Please call me 'Pickle'
