Definately cheaper in the States, honey, so that should sort it!!

I try to save my points to buy makeup in Boots because I hate spending the money to colour myself in! However to get points you need to spend money and of course, I dont do that anymore. I am privately doing the 'no more toiletries' challenge although was never that bad. I just want to use up all the 'bits' I have around the house!

I didn't think I was that bad, either, but I managed to get a heck of a lot into two drawers! ;)

And my Boots card got a corrupted the other week and I need to being in all my receipts and get them validated before the points become invalid. Will be gutted if they've gone out of date.

You should go for a makeover Taxi when you feel able to wear your 'new hair' out - some do free if you buy a product and since you need make-up, it would be a treat!

Indeed. Plus, when you are paying the amount they charge for expensive make-up, you kind of want to know that it's going to work. It was like that when I was last looking for foundation: there was no way I was paying that amount for a foundation without knowing that it worked. Estee Lauder gave me a small sample, I loved it, and they've had a loyal customer ever since. And a makeover's even better! :) Have fun, Taxi!

I love it too Pickle. I hate that caked on look but I do need good coverage because as per DH 'I have country girl cheeks' and always have had. Hence I need good coverage...........again someone recommended Industrial Strength concealer from Benefit...........I swear thats the name of it!

I use a foundation brush for my Double Wear - defo makes it last even longer!

    Hi there Pickle
have seen you around other peoples thread and thought I should really come and see what your diary is like *looks around* like what you have done with the place.

I am sorry that you are having such a crap time on the job front. It must be so frustrating to have a job you don't like, trying to get work experience in a job you would like, and then trying to find another part time job to do as well. It would drive me up the wall. I don't suppose you could work for another firm at the shopping centre, just so you get out of the toxic environment your current work seems to be.

I was gobsmacked about the French course. I don't suppose now (all too late I guess) to have submitted the stuff anyway to the head of the department and ignore your supervisor?

I get you with how frustrating mums can be. I don't live with mine (we would kill each other), but because we live down under she does come for long visits. By the end of them I am dying for her to leave, because she wants to be out ALL THE TIME. And when I point out that I need to do housework, I get the injured look. Quite frankly I also can't afford to be out every day financially either.....I understand why she is like this, but it doesn't make it any easier to live with.

I hope you have managed to get good use out of your gym membership, I found that doing regular exercise, didn't just make my body feel better, but makes me feel better mentally too.

    take care
    chev
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

I've heard about that brush, but I thought it would just be an expensive gimmick...I'll seriously consider investing now that I know it's not as it will save me more over the lifetime of a few bottle of the foundation. Cheers Reddie! *Furiously texts best friend about to go to Canada*

Oh, and also, I have a friend with very 'country girl cheeks' and she gets this green stuff she puts on over her cheeks before putting on foundation, which seems to 'neutralise' some of the redness. She says it really brings them down. She used green stuff she bought from Boots's Natural Collection, but I just checked the website and I don't think they do it anymore. Somewhere else will do it, though (and probably a better quality version), but it will be more effective than caking on concealer.
