So they're pretty much the same as Chuggers then :beer:trisontana wrote: »That's bailiffs. Debt collectors can come to your house any time, but they have no authority.0 -
I would strongly deprecate taking that action.I have been advised from anpother thread to respond to them with this letter:Yours faithfullyDear Sir or Madam,
I note you have sent an invoice to me in respect of my vehicle allegedly parking at One Stop, Perry Barr car park on 26/08/2009.
Please note although I am the registered keeper of the vehicle, I am not liable for your invoice.
As the registered keeper, I am only liable for tickets issued, to me, by local authorities under the 1991 Road Traffic Act.
Unfortunately, this does not apply to private car parks.
You need to contact the driver of the vehicle on the day in question and produce the invoice to them.
Please do not contact me again unless it is to inform me that you will not be taking the matter any further with me.
Do u think this is wise?????0
