OOOhhhhh I'd included council tax and mortgage repayments in my figures, if I deduct them it makes an enormous difference to my total. I might just do it after all. Not that I can deduct them as I've done evrything in biro and I'm not writing it all out again.Haven't had the balls to work out just how much we've spent over the last few days but its not pretty and I'm thinking its going to be £300 ish.0

You're reminding me that I've started to slip on tracking spending. I was being really good but recently I keep forgetting to mae a note. I'm going to try and keep better track from now on.

Can't offer any advice on presents for small people, but cat food.....
Special Kitty is on hills prescription diet so always has the same dry food & is quite content, 2 kilo bag costs me just over £18 & lasts her 6 weeks so its just over £3 a week, have ordered 5kilo bag which will last 15 weeks & bring cost down to £2 a week....bargain!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -

Her ladyship has been on James Wellbeloved turkey and rice dry food now for absolutely ages - 2kg bag costs about £11.99 at full price but can often be tracked down on special offer. Seems to last ages too - I'd say easily 6 - 8 weeks (obviously I do have a note on the calendar of when we've bought it (tragic eh!) so I can keep track but I can't be ar*ed to walk to the kitchen to look - sorry! We used to have a lot of trouble with her being sick on a fairly regular basis but not anything like so often now - and the vet always comments on how healthy she is. (Her ladyship, rather than the vet, although I'm sure she's healthy too!) Again, she gets the odd treat here and there, but 99.9% of what she eats is the dry stuff.
By the way - when I did a comparison a few months back I found the James Wellbeloved worked out cheaper than the more mainstream Iams, purina etc.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
