I am a regular customer with tesco.com buying books, wine, electrical items, groceries and dvds, and i shall be telling them that i am going to think about not using them in the future!
Why should i have to contact them to chase this situation up? They know they are not sending anymore out - They should have apologised and informed me my order is never going to arrive by now.

Surely it doesn't take long for them to send out a blanket email to everyone?
It might be just me but i'm a bit suspect that people have got theirs as it only seems to be 2 or 3 people and some,or at least one,have said some bloke dropped it off in a car which doesn't sound at all like Tesco's:rolleyes:Darren0 -

Have just received a letter today from Tesco Extra, apologising to have to inform me that 'we are unable to obtain further supplies of the goods detailed below. We regret, therefore, that we must cancel your order. We would like to point out that your credit card account has not been charged for these items. We do hope that you can make an alternative choice.'
I take it from these comments that they will NOT be selling this item again? If I do spot it available on their web-site, is it worth contacting them about fulfilling the order?0 -
Yeah, I don't have mine, either!
I tried to order 1 and it wouldn't let me, so I tried 2 (after coming back to this forum) and still no luck. So I tried three and was successful..!
And now they have no stock..!? Idiots. If they didn't mess up with the online ordering system we could all have gotten 1 each!

I had the same letter saying they couldn't obtain futher supplies. I didn't recieve any e-mails so I was never told it was a pricing error. Surprise, surprise, browsing through their website today I noticed they are selling them again at £19.99.
I pleaded dumb and phoned to see when they will be sending my order as they now seem to have them in stock. I was told - sorry it is cancelled and you will need to re-order via the internet at the full price of £19.99. I explained that I hadn't cancelled the order and hadn't wanted the order cancelled as I was happy to wait and see if any more stock came in. I was basically told, sorry - the order was cancelled by Tesco and so you will need to pay the full price via the internet as they can't take orders over the phone.
I knew I wasn't going to get it and it didn't really bother me - some you win some you lose - but I thought I would chance my arm and see what happened.
What annoys me is if they had been honest with everyone and admitted it was a pricing error then fine - but they didn't - they told me they couldn't supply it as they had no more stock and wouldn't be getting any so how come they are now selling them again at the proper price?0 -

The only e-mail I received was one saying it had been delayed. I never received any e-mails about cancelling it. I did get a letter saying they had cancelled my order as they couldn't get any more supplies.
I can still see the order in my account and it doesn't say it is cancelled there0
