A few months on and I'm getting there...after a little err, pause, following paying off my credit card I am now tackling my bank overdraft which I have been in forever. Currently have paid off £177.10 and am hoping to up this £600ish after next week's payday.

Going to contact my bank - see if I can reduce my overdraft limit little by little as I pay it back or whether I will have to do it in one go.

Cheap weekend this one, think I currently have £2.57 left in my account!

For the first time in too many years my debt is now into three figures! Thanks to payday I'm now down to £857.61 left to pay off.

Hoping if I REALLY cut down this and the following next two months I'll be able to clear the remaining amount using the next two paydays. fingers crossed.

Although I am happy in a way, I'm finding this final slog the hardest part. so sick of scrimping, selling and endless nights in front of the TV! My DF reward pot is looking nice and fat now (over £50!). I was going to save until I had cleared my entire debt, but I have nothing I want to buy for that amount (£74). So I'm considering spending what I have now on a treat for myself in the hope that it will keep me motivated.

Just got to decide on what type of lovely gift I am going to buy myself.... :)

Opted to put it towards something sensible (as opposed to my first thought - blowing it all on HotelChocolat!), and have used my money earned so far in my DF reward pot on a hotel room. Needed to book this room anyway, as I will be using it as an airport stopover on our summer holiday. Managed to get a reasonably good deal - 4* star central hotel double room for £54.71 (inc. of quidco 12% discount).

As for the pot, its now clear and I am only set to earn another £20 from it. So I probably won't bother to set another one up (destroyed the original trying to get my £54 out!), but just make a mental note that I am entitled to a £20 treat when I become debt free. Sounds like a takeaway to me!

Isn't it annoying all the little costs that rear their heads as we try to clear our debt! Got a car tax request through the post this weekend. Normally I would pay the year as it works out cheaper, but think I am going to break my rule and only do 6 months as it will give me more spare cash to throw at debt.

Have day to myself today, so hoping to have a real blitz of a day. I've printed off flylady's weekly cleaning rota and I'm going to try to complte it all in one day! Now where's that mop....

only half way through my cleaning plan - think I may have bitten off a more then I can chew! Been pretty useless over the last few days, doing a bit here and there but seem unable to concerntrate on getting any one project finished. Literally walking from one room to another!

So I'm not going to set myself a long list of things to do. Instead I'm just going to tell myself I have to achieve ummm, 10 things today. Large or small.

Going to aim come back on here by 5pm today with a lovely long list of progress!

    Some sucess:
    1. Watched DVDs due to be returned
    2. Cleared 500+ old emails
    3. Unsubscribed to loads of junk emails
    4. Contacted OU about credit transfer
    5. Cleaned out underwear drawer
    6. Bagged up clutter for charity
