Have been to town, given blood, looked round M&S (lots of useful work clothes, but I'll see what people wear at the new place before I cough up for anything!), bought some books and found a new (well, I obviously haven't been into town for 3 months!) sushi place has opened, so have had miso soup with tofu and FAR too much salmon & tuna sushi for lunch! So now I need to get going, as I'll have to start getting ready to go out at 5
Wilf - how about you get a notebook and make a list for each room on a separate page? I have this, and each page ranges from the achievable to complete fantasy. Don't put anything on there that will come up on the regular flying lists - do the windows/dusting etc as it comes round on Pigpen's lists. Maybe you could divide the work that needs doing in each room into different levels as with the flying lists so that you can prioritise. That way you'll know that you need to declutter and clean before bothering to paint etc. Also, break things down, so rather than 'paint room' put 'paint walls; paint ceiling; paint skirting; paint window' etc so that you can see you're achieving things. Hopefully you'll be able to source a lot of the stuff you need via freecycle - if you're using it to declutter, you should be posting wanteds too! And make sure you come on here to let us know how you're getting on - you know we'll support you!
Suppose I should get going again...

Also... where to you live... there may be some local flyladies with paint that needs decluttering! You could try posting 'wanted' requests on the FB swapshop thread (if Pigpen approves, obviously!)... I may have some halogen spotlights going on there end Sept/early Oct if the electrician can fit in the work to replace them...
Really must go now... there's a load of washing to go on the line, and a LOT of hoovering to be done0 -

Do we want a weekend list since a lot of the children are back at school and we supposedly have more 'free time'.. or shall i leave it until next week when they are all off?
I have no intention of doing it anyway so it is no problem either way... I don't think I've done a list in weeks.. what with various doctors and hospital appointments and feeling grotty I've achieved nothing.. and now I have *thinks of polite phrase to describe* the childrens other parent telling me I have to take them out.. yep.. that'll happen!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Had a busy few days so not posted much this week (or done much flying).
Did want to send lots of hugs to Serena...hope all went ok this morning for you. Thinking of you. x
Greenbee...like the idea of the notebook for bigger jobs. When DD2 starts nursery I'm planning on starting decorating the lounge. First job will be sanding all the skirting boards, picture rail, door frames, doors and as she'll only be at nursery two mornings a week and I'll likely be working one of them then its a good idea to break it down into smaller jobs.
Pigpen...don't think much will be done of a weekend list here either. DD1 has gymnastics then I'm taking her for school shoes, then lunch at parents then work til 9pm. Sunday I'm hoping to go to the gym. I need to shift this half stone I've gained over the summer.
Right...back to flying...Off to find my list and post it. I'm hoping that'll motivate me to do something.0 -

If you can be bothered making us a list then you could post it and if people want to they can ? But, I must stress, if you can be bothered as it sounds like you have more than plenty on your plate (and your table mat, and table cloth, and table for that matter too).
I hope that you are not feeling too snowed under Pigpen, hugs from me......lol I find one toddler hard work so heaven knows what it is like for you with DS's, DD's (and ex!) to deal with......brave lady!
On a flying front I am about to bring in the dry washing, have a banana cake in the oven and will go wake DS (who has had no accidents today and asked for a pee when he needed (although mummy got confused at one point and wondered why he wanted a bee!....oops)).
Need to do the mac cheese too.
