Wilf - wow, thats quite a list! Will we be getting before and after piccies? Good luck with it all xx
Dusty - I love the idea of speed flying. Sounds like it could burn a few extra calories so i'll give it ago!
Serena - I've been thinking of you this morning xx
I've just been offered another dog - don't worry, i've said no! The dog I sometimes walk for my neighbour is a springer. He's lovely but they only walk him for about 15 minutes a day. This morning I took him out for two hours and he had a ball. Lovely dog but really needs a home where they're not out from 8am until 7pm. I think I know someone who'd be perfect for the pooch though.
I've had a cunning plan. I've invited some friends round for a drink tomorrow night. That means DH will come home tonight and clean the living room, kitchen and dining room :rotfl:. What a fab plan!
Right, putting my feet up for 10 minutes then must do something.
xx
ETA - massive hugs wilf....why don't you try breaking the decorating list into smaller chunks so it's not so demoralising? Aim for half an hour preparation a day (if you have time) until a room is ready for decorating. I know it's not easy but we're here for you xx0 -

Scrumped a few cookers from the overhanging branches so apple crumble in the AGA for the boys. Collected up the windfall plums - I want to pick some for eating but I need a ladder and it is so windy so I'll get OH to help tomorrow. Made a small plum crumble for me (boys don't like it) with half of the windfalls - need to do something (not jam with the rest).
Going to sort the box of photos now.
PenPen - I put my cardi on to go in the garden but need to take it off now (Maybe it's our age?) hope your DD gets better soon - Tonsillitis is evilThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Ooooh Dusty - you've made me crave apple crumble now. Think i'll pop next door and see if they'll let me have some apples from their tree. They usually do.
Oh yes, talking of age....i'd better go and change my patch:rotfl:xx0 -
Wilf big hugs my friend. We are not getting disheartened. You cannot possible do all of that before October so lets cut your list now! (Sorry I'm taking on the voice of our lovely Toots whilst she is not here).
You sound really down and we don't want that. I'm not going to give you marriage advice for that's not my place but kids I can! You do masses for your DS and I know golf is not cheap so a payback is required. I'm sure he is a lovely lad but he needs training not to be useless (I am mother of the DoDo remember!). There are lots of things that require no skill that he could do like sorting washing, putting dishes away, mowing the lawn, hoovering, cleaning inside of windows, general fetching and carrying. DD2 how busy can she be with college? If she helped for 30 minutes a day that would make a big difference.
Now go edit that list before I get PenPen to tamper with your posts! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi all still back on page 30:rolleyes: I have completed my list for today and have also wm, td, washed up, washed windows, dusted, cleaned all the mirrors in the house, cleaned/tidied DD's wardrobe, made lunch , decluttered DS2 back to school. I'm having my half hour to myself now watching Harry Potter with a cup of tea and a cherry bakewell.
