Not going myself as I will be in Poland watching Northern Ireland play but we saw an airshow in Blackpool a few weeks ago. Saw lots of young children crying at the noise and really scared of the whole thing. My advice would be to maybe have some cotton wool for their ears at it is so loud for them.
But the red arrows really are amazing to watch!0 -
Can I ask where you found this information? I was wondering what time the Red Arrows are doing their display and if they will be there on both the Saturday and Sunday?
Few different sites but

Thanks for the links. It looks like it is going to be an exciting show!0 -
Last years show was an excellent day out, cold but sunny with clear skies.
TBh we forgot all about it and it was only driving up to get the shopping in Coleraine we saw the Red Arrows doing their stuff that we thought we would drive on down. Must have been lunch time and tbh we had no trouble what so ever finding a place to park and got a great spot along west strand to see the rest of the planes.
Plenty for the little uns to see and do ( and the big uns)
Hope the weather is as kind to us this year as even if you really arent into planes its still a fun day out0 -
I'm really looking forward to going up on Sunday. Thinking of heading down to Hazelbank / Loughshore to see the A380 on Sat as won't be able to get up to Portrush then. Hope it will be ok there, or should I head over to Crawsfordsburn area?

I just watched the A380 from the side of the Sydenham Bypass, it was a sight to see. Amazes me how something so big can fly so slowly and gracefully. I want to go somewhere on one now!Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

Just been to airshow - well 1st half of it! Saw the red arrows (my main reason for going ) and they were as fab as ever. Enjoyed the marines dropping in to rescue the Lord Mayor & Co and then watched the airbus - agree bigcammy great to see how it can fly so slowly at the size of it!!
Would have stayed on but my 3 children (10, 8 , 4) - couldnt really be bothered - tbh there was no atmosphere and crowds just mulling around.
What do the people round here expect for a day out to look anyway excited about a fantastic show!!??!!??0
