    thanks for all of your help, i really appreciate it :D

    just went to look at the tocco and its not that great, the screen is quite small.
    o2 lady did say they had 'other' handsets available on the deal. They don't do the Samsung Jet or HTC (both of which i liked). Nokia N97 looked good but don't suppose that one will be free.

    any other handsets you could point me at?

    you'll have to find out what handsets are available and post them up to see.

    Unless you want to look at other networks? Just wondering if 02 will end up cheaper for you thats all.

    this is the best HTC Hero deal I can find around your spend.

    http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/offer/DOL45P77/

    £45 tariff for £35 a month
    + half price line rental for first 6 months (works out at £30/m)

    * 1 magic number (choose a number and you get unlimited calls to it for free, outside your allowance).
    * 1200 mins / unlimited texts
    * unlimited internet

    + £50 quidco

    I rang o2 back and got a REALLY hard sell for the iphone. it is 3g apparently. Guy wasn't interested in selling me anything else.

    So is the iphone deal worth it?

    totally confuzzled now :confused:

    my HTC Hero deal is better value... but everyone wants an iphone these days :)

    Go with the one you like... try them both out in a shop. If you like both and can't decide, go HTC for a better value contract and your facebook integration in the phonebook.

    Remember both of these models are touchscreen keyboards (no hard keypad). You have to like this kind of technology to use it. Some don't like the touchscreens for texting etc. It seems most dont mind it, afterall, an iphone has a virtual keypad.

    will do that.

    yes yours is a better deal but not sure i trust myself to do the cashback on the HTC :o

    well remember the £10 off a month is off your bill (automatic, not cashback). You are only claiming for £100 odd pounds. Not including the £50 track on quidco.

    With a HTC you'll be on google all the time. Put in reminders in your google calendar and your phone will remind you :)
